CapEx vs. OpEx hours report

Avatar

Our company capitalizes project hours for tasks listed under the build, test, and deploy milestones of a standard waterfall project. Has anyone in the community figured out a way to report on the number of hours listed under specific project milestones? I've been trying for a few days without any luck. All ideas on how you capture and report on CapEx hours are greatly appreciated!

Hi: We have a custom attribute we use on our Task object. It is called “Capital”. It is a drop down with “Please Choose” (the default value), “Yes”, and “No” options. The PM is expected to know whether a particular task embodies capitalizable work or not, but the PMO reviews it as part of an approval workflow. Then, based on that attribute, we roll up project hours/cost, etc. Does that help? Thanks, Eric

Another option is to have a calculated field that gets the information from parent or parent.parent task On Mon, Aug 22, 2016, 4:21 PM Lucas, Eric < reportingforum@communitylists.workfront.com> wrote: > Hi: > > > > We have a custom attribute we use on our Task object.
