Can requesters see updates when not tagged?

Do you know when assigning a request to another team member if I can ask them a question via updates without the requester seeing it? For example: Hey Lisa, is this something you want me to punt to another office? Carolyn Steigleman Saint Joseph's University

It depends on how you have your Email notifications configured. But either way be careful what you say because even if they don't get notified, they can still SEE the request and any notes if they want to. But to check your settings go to Setup > Email > Notifications. I've attached the one I believe controls it, but there could be others. I would do a browser search for "Primary Contact" to ensure you get them all. You can see in my attachment we turned off this communication because we're in IT and don't want them to see every note we make as some notes can be technical noise to them. We assign our requesters a different company than our team, so if we have an update to make we just use the padlock icon so only my team can see the message...but not the client. Adina Adina Pierce Cisco
