Audit Reports

Avatar

Level 7
I'm looking for suggestions or ideas on what would be the best way to pull a report on who has what permissions for each project and/or portfolio in Workfront. I'm currently pulling an excel file and eyeballing each project for region and user group permissions, but I'm hoping there is a better way to get the same result. We want to make sure region permissions and customer/employee permissions are correct in our system. Let me know your thoughts or what you have done to achieve this same objective.

Hi Brandon, Since the ("new") security model isn't reportable natively using Workfront reporting, I'm considering using our Magic Reports solution to meet this need, in a fashion similar to the Project Status Report we created back in 2014 (wow: that long ago!). With that intention, I invite you (and any others interested) to help me understand the requirements by describing (or even better, mocking up) what would Be Awesome by posting on this thread, or emailing me directly at doug.denhoed@atappstore.com. Regards, Doug

Doug - any traction on this? Found this thread while looking to see if there was a daily report that would export the 'audit log' recently added. Christina Jarosz Ascensus

Hi - ironically I was looking for this topic again and found your response that I missed before! I see WF does have an Audit Report function now - so I'm curious if its able to be exported on a weekly basis so to speak. I think from an administrative standpoint - seeing what changes were made to a template, or failed log-ins would help a ton. (Ex. - I can see we've had a huge influx in login attempts from one dept in our company - looks like they'd like to use the tool!) Christina Jarosz Ascensus
