It's 2017 and while it's great to limit the number of projects and tasks in a given view, this should not be a performance consideration that forces multiple clicks. We're talking about a handful of records in most cases and in rare cases users may be pulling up 1000 - 2000 records. This is no volume in modern repositories and should not impact the materialized views that are rendered. The key is to allow users to select the number of records returned in Views as a default setting. Most PMs need to see all of the records and certainly the Admins need this capability. We waste more time navigating through the clickstream than actually viewing a given project. Setup defaults in the UI that allow users to select their preferences.
