Calendars -- Ability to show planned duration even after actual is entered

It would be awesome to force the calendar to continue to show Planned Dates/Duration and not Actual or Projected Dates/Duration even after actual dates/hours are entered.

Having a calendar with the ability to show planned in one color with the actual or projected in another color would be awesome to show our executives and stakeholders.

Calendars are the best visual representation we can show them. Yes, I do realize there are gantt charts in the system that could show this -- but calendars really give laypeople the best understanding in my experience.

Can't agree with you more! Our Project Mangers want to start using Calendars in Workfront for team meetings and to display when different teams/groups will be involved in the project. However, they are not happy that when Actual Work is logged, they can no longer see the Planned or Projected Dates. Having the ability to show Planned or Projected alongside Actual would be nice.

We have been trying to find out if Workfront has any plans to improve the Calendar feature. A big draw back is that there isn't a way to print it. They'd really love to see that. I am really hoping they are planning on investing some time/effort in sprucing this part of the application up!

This is very much needed. We have calendars built to hold historical data of activities that do no have accurate data due to the tasks not being marked as in progress and then as complete on the correct days.

Absolutely agree. People often update task status all at once for a few days worth of tasks, rendering a calendar quite inaccurate. Love to have a calendar that ONLY looks at planned dates or make that options.

Having the option would be huge for our org. We have a lot of groups that could really take advantage of this. Ideally having the ability to choose what dates to use helps make the calendars more functional depending on the context.

Yes. Yes. Yes. I use a calendar to see dates, currently all my dates are changing to the day a task is marked complete. I need to refer back to the dates the task took place. Seeing the "start on" "due on" dates seems like the absolute simplest use of a calendar .

We are having problems making our calendars (using actual dates) match our report summaries (using planned dates). We would love actual control over the calendar dates.

This needs to be done ASAP. Honestly, this functionality should have been built out before anything was done for the new Home View for the recent Beta roll out. My department doesn't use calendars in Workfront at all because of the date limitation, so we're stuck with our old excel planning calendar for our editorial calendar. Now that we're bringing other content contributors from other departments into Workfront, we need it more than ever.

It'd be great if in addition to only viewing planned dates there was the option to take dates from custom forms as well.

100% agreed. The calendar feature needs to be expanded in order for it to be useful for our Project Management team.
