Workfront Fusion Data store value for "is not empty" or "value exists"

Workfront novice here trying to figure out what value that I can use in a field value in my data store that is similar to "is not empty" or "value exists," so that I don't have to add a lot of rows to my data store. Any guidance is appreciated.

I'm not clear on this use case and why you set up the store as you have. 
What's the input and the call to the datastore?
