1) Fewer distractions. One of the most exciting benefits of the new Workfront experience is the ability for users to focus on the information they need and complete their daily work with fewer distractions. Our new layout templates allow System Administrators to reduce the noise by removing unnecessary objects, navigation areas and data fields from a user’s view. Critical items are elevated to the navigation bar, main menu, object-specific left navigation panel, and even to the top of the object details area -- including highly requested custom form location optimization.
In other words, you decide what’s important to show to your users. To increase worker engagement levels (not to mention the execution rate of the work itself!), consider customizing navigation in order to:
Feature areas that are visited most frequently
Reduce unused visible system fields and menu options
Customize display data, objects, and/or navigation areas relevant to your specific types of users (individual contributors, project owners, executives, etc.)
By customizing these views, your users won’t have to sift through irrelevant navigation options—the noise—to find the information they need to take action.
2) Highly customizable work spaces. You spoke and we listened. An enterprise work management system needs the flexibility to be personalized for each individual user’s way of working. With a clean interface and powerful customizations, the new Workfront experience gives every user control of their own work space.
With daily moving work targets, the pinning functionality lets users surface relevant tasks, issues, projects or even reports on the top navigation bar to work on what is critical at that specific time. Key components can also be easily elevated on the left navigation panel across objects by reordering sections without opening additional screens. With the ability to control their environment, users can successfully manage a large volume of work and achieve target outcomes.
3) Simplified navigation. The new summary panel gives your users the ability to move fluidly through their work and update tasks without moving away from the project itself. The summary panel gives access to quickly review and post updates on tasks and issues, adjust progress, log time, or check details while still seeing the bigger picture. No more toggling through task pages open in separate browser windows.
Did you know? The summary panel is also available in the Workload Balancer, streamlining resource management process and communication directly from the Workload Balancer.
Your team can see the most important object data in a seamless design that includes both Workfront fields and custom fields in one window—the new object details areas. Centralizing data on a single page saves your team time and gives them an overview of critical data in one place.
Your project owners can also access a consolidated view of a project to quickly assess its needs and status by leveraging Project Metrics.
4) New must-have features. We all know poorly or non-aligned strategic business initiatives can hinder productivity, and overlapping priorities with shifting project plans cause chaos.
