Update Notes

Is there a way to show the Updates users make after entering hours? Right now it seems only users that are set to Manage a Task see the updates that are linked to Hours, I'd like everyone that has access to a Task to see those updates. Or is there a way to un-attach the updates from the hours? We are currently entering hours as we enter updates and not all users can see those updates. Hope that's clear, if not let me know and I can try and explain and more. And thanks in advance for the help. Aaron Godwin Gentex

@David Cornwell or @Skye Boardman can either of you speak to this at all? Nate Bagley Community Manager Workfront natebagley@workfront.com | 801.477.9712

Sorry Nate, our team doesn't use the log time features in Workfront :). I did take a look at a task, and our log time feature is completely separate from our updates window. If we do log time in a task, the time and updates are not connectable. -skye

Hi Aaron, Do you mean, when a user logs time on a task it says "Joe Smith logged 2 Hours to this task". Are these the notes you want all people to see? If so, unfortunately it doesn't work that way for Work licensed users. They are not allowed to see each others' Hours and so even notes regarding the logging of those hours are excluded from the Updates tab. Plan users are able to see all users' hours under a strict condition. Either they manage the project, or if their access level has the additional check box for timesheet administration. Regular update comments typed in by users should be visible to all though. Hope this helps. Cheers David Cornwell
