Hi everyone, Thank you for the tremendous amount of feedback here in the community and from the feedback button in your instance over the past two weeks. Our goal is that this Beta is fully usable to get your work done and we are working to resolve the main issues listed below to ensure this is possible. We want this Beta phase to be the time for you to give us suggestions and feedback on areas you are passionate about to help us improve the product further. Also, the Beta gives you and your power users the opportunity to start to get familiar with the new experience before we approach General Availability. However, we do expect small issues during this Beta as this experience is being enhanced to get to General Availability. This post is a summary of the top trending feedback items over the past two weeks. We may not cover every topic but we have included the top trending items from our analysis. Below is a summary of the feedback with a response from the Workfront product team in Italics : Login with SSO not working Issue requiring users to clear the browser cookies before logging in. We have a fix for this issue and will be released to your instances in the next week . Page doesn't load and an error displays Issue occurring on many pages in the application. We are aware of the issue you are seeing related to an error message asking you to perform a page refresh. Most of the time a page refresh is clearing the error but others have reported this to be unsuccessful. We had a partial fix added last night that resolved this for some pages and we are actively working to resolve this throughout the application. You can track the status on the Known Issues page . We are actively investigating the cause and will be providing a fix. Navigation The new experience causes the user to do a page refreshes more often to see updates The data isn't updated without a page refresh. As we continue to provide updates to the new experience, we will be improving this user experience. Currently, some pages are requiring a page refresh to update your entry. This will be continually improved as we enhance the new experience. The pin name is the same for Dashboards when those are in left navigation. Also when pinning the Request areas, the pin just says "New". Can we edit the pin name? We plan to evaluate allowing users to modify the titles of pins within their navigation. We don't have a timeline on this just yet but it is a priority in our research efforts. Pins aren't saving on different browsers and aren't tied to a user's account. Currently, the pins are stored in your browser. We are actively working to store this on the client side out of your browser. This will allow for your pins to be available on any browser or device. Each time navigating to a pin causes the page to reload. For dashboards or reports, this is not the best experience. Thank you for this feedback. We are investigating options to improve this experience. Please continue to monitor the Beta updates provided here in the Beta Group. Recents isn't saving on different browsers and isn't accurate all of the time. We are evaluating a larger service enabling browser/device sync for commonly used items, such as Pins and Recents. We don't have a timeline just yet on delivering this capability, but we will communicate our next steps in these Beta Group posts. Please allow sorting of Favorites We are actively working on this today and plan to release it in the near future. Stay tuned! Main Menu - icons are not available for Dashboards, Templates and other new areas. Currently, you can add new Main Menu icons (Portfolios, Programs, Dashboards, Resourcing, and Templates) by updating your Layout Templates, specifically the Main Menu section of your templates. We will continue to investigate this further to ensure you can access areas you are accustomed to in Workfront Classic but still provide you the capability to hide icons for users who don't need to access those areas. Will we have the ability to hide Home as we do today in Classic? Yes, you will be able to select a page you prefer as a landing one and Home will be available in your Main Menu, which you can customize via Layout Templates. New Project Details now with customization Details overview pages are inconsistent throughout as only the Project Details is updated. We are delivering the new experience on the object details object by object, so other pages will be redesigned soon as well. Updated look for Reports and Dashboards The new report grouping colors are not distinctive enough to allow for easy viewing. We will update the color scheme to have more contrast across the application. Not able to scroll horizontally on reports We have fixed this issue and it will go out in the next week. Left Navigation Allow ability to stay expanded or fully moved away. Thank you for this feedback. We are researching improvements to this experience. Currently, there is a << button just above the left navigation allowing you to collapse the navigation. This is useful while working in a list. Search The Beta experience for search is not working consistently. Filters sometimes are not being applied. We are actively working on bringing back Advanced Search as well as improving the existing Search Filtering experience. Aside from that, we are working on some major improvements to our search infrastructure that will boost the relevancy of search results, allowing users to find what they're looking for much faster. Layout Templates Scroll bar not working on list of layout templates The issue is fixed and will be released to your instance soon. Proofing navigation A back or close button is needed as currently it is too difficult to close a proof and return back to the task or document page. As a next step to solve this problem, we plan to add breadcrumbs to the top menu in the proofing viewer. You'll be able to close a proof by navigating to the parent object in the breadcrumbs. This will also provide context for the proof because you will readily see which task or project it is associated with. New page headers Can the condition field be added back to the header? Thank you for this suggestion. The team is researching this more and will consider adding the condition back on the header. More communication will be provided in a further Beta update post. Could the header collapse when scrolling in lists to provide more items to be seen in a list? We are going to introduce a smaller more streamlined header soon. Once it's available, please provide your feedback as we continue to research if further enhancements are needed (collapsing). Details don't appear on the top of the page and instead you have to click to navigate to details. With the ability to configure the sections on the details from the layout templates, the admins can configure which sections appear on the top of the details overview page. The left navigation can also be configured to show the details first either through a layout template or by the user dragging the details icon to the top of the left navigation. Users Updates page Where is the user updates page? I used it all of the time. We don't have current plans to add this page, mainly because it caused updates to be posted about work being done, but the update wasn't tagged to the work in question. We're now focusing on the update streams that are found within project, task and issue objects and streamlining those workflows to make them easier to find and understand related updates. Additionally, please refer to the following posts for previous feedback and next steps since the Beta started. hi Josh, is the trending feedback post based on the feedback in the community, the feedback using the feedback button in Workfront, or both? -skye

It is a combination of both here in community and using the feedback button in Workfront. If you feel we may have missed something, please feel free to add it to this thread. Josh Boston Workfront

Hi @Josh Boston - I see that you're not planning on reinstating the Updates tab on Users. This is probably OK as long as we can still get to important info shown here, like changes to Access Levels etc. I assume that these should be available via the System Audit Logs, however it isn't working properly for us (it's missing data that does show on the Updates tab) so I've opened a support ticket. One other bit of feedback which I haven't submitted yet...when I click on the grid icon to open the global navigation menu, it opens in two steps: - 1. It shows a box with my name, title, a Workfront logo and a horizontal line. - 2. The box expands to show the icons for the different areas of the system. It looks kind of clunky and would be better if the menu box opened cleanly in one motion. David Cornwell

Wow! I love how much you guys are listening and working towards making the Beta as best as it can be. I don't see anything about the recents/favorites being re-added in the top corner menu, but I'll look through the links.

David, System Audit Logs should show that kind of information for you. I'm glad you've opened a ticket for us to look at that issue for you. Christopher Low Workfront

Hi @Christopher Low (cc @Josh Boston ) - Support agreed that it looked like a bug, but then Development have said that they won't fix it and that I should submit it via the Idea Exchange (which I don't like to do for this sort of thing). The scenario is that I see a user (let's call him John Smith) with a certain access level and think "Hmmm....I wonder who gave John this access level and when?". I can no longer go to John Smith's User Updates tab to see the sequence of changes. The workaround at the moment is to go to Setup, then Audit Logs, choose 'User' logs, select a date range and then once the results load, use ctrl-f to sift through the list and find the entries with John's name in the Object column. The most log results you can load on one page is 500, so if you can't find what you want you then have to move through each page and repeat the ctrl-f process. I thought that the idea with the New Experience was to provide at least functional equivalency? I don't expect everything to work the same, but this is taking a super easy enquiry and making it really cumbersome. If you'd like to have a look at the ticket, it is 00167729. Thanks David Cornwell

Favorites have been added back to the navigation bar (top-right corner). Recents are still available in the Search window, along with New For Me. Allison Lippert Workfront allisonlippert@workfront.com

I agree. We need to see the updates tab on users. One of our main beta-testers had to switch back to the classic interface because of this issues. We have a practical use for that feature and he didn't want to give it up. I would vote for this on the idea exchange, if that's the route we need to take. We use the "Users Updates" to get an idea of who has gone into a users profile if there are any changes or error all of a sudden with a user profile. Wendy Alvarado Navy Federal Credit Union

RE: User Updates Tab Now that I've looked into this more, I guess I can understand the change. (see below) Some nice replacements might be: A global "updates" feature that would list all updates in range and then be easily filterable by person or project An easy custom report to pull individual user updates with a prompt for individual users I know that admins can use the Audit Logs but the updates tab was useful to managers for following up with individuals across multiple projects. Hopefully, we'll see some new solutions that are even better than the old ones. I guess you're supposed to use the audit logs to get this info now, if you're an admin? Peyto Yellin CareOregon, Inc.
