From the past two weeks, the feedback trends were consolidated around the new project details. As a reminder, we have summarized feedback and next steps for other feedback trends including Navigation, Search, and Layout Templates on previous discussion threads. Below is a summary of the latest feedback with a response from the Workfront product team on our next steps:
New Project Details
Thank you for filling out the survey around the experience on the new project details. Here are some general pain points that were highlighted and what we are planning to do about them.
Ability to configure the fields that are visible on the screen - the ability to configure fields on the overview and finance sections will be available shortly in the preview environment. You will be able to make that configuration through layout templates.
Ability to configure different sections - the ability to configure the sequence of the sections (Overview, Custom Data, Finance) will be available shortly in the preview environment. You will be able to make that configuration through layout templates. This and the existing functionality on the custom form builder to configure the fields you want to see first, in specific sections or lines will allow almost full customizability of the page.
Easier and more obvious editing - we have added the ability to inline edit the fields by double clicking on them.
Ability to drag & drop separate sections in the overview or have mixed native/custom data - this won't be something we will be working on short term but we do understand the need behind it and will look into possibilities to implement that in the future.
Easier access to the sections that are not on the screen when you first land - we will be working to understand how we can improve the experience here.
