Teams screen - making it faster to change teams

On the teams screen, there is the search box where you have to type in the team name in order to change to view another team. You have to quickly click 3 times to select all text so you can then type over it, or you have to click and drag to select all. This adds unnecessary clicks and delay to users. We have people who spend their whole day in this screen so it would be best if Workfront can make it faster to switch teams. Either add a X button to clear the current team with a single click, or have it automatically select all text as soon as they click in that box so they can start typing the new team name. Note - our preference is to actually just have a drop-down list like in Classic but I believe this is not going to be returned. Thanks David Cornwell

Hey David, I have a drop-down list in the New Experience. Do you not a drop down when you just place your cursor in the text box? Kirsten Heikkinen

I think my dropdown only shows the teams I'm _in_ -- so if David's users are switching to teams that they aren't in, they would have to start typing out the name of the team to find it. -skye

Yep - that's right @Skye Hansen - users can only see teams they're in in the drop-down. They have to search for other teams, which is pretty clunky if they don't know what they're looking for....and even if they do, they have to select and delete the existing team name from the search box before they can start searching for another! I get the full dropdown of all teams if I highlight/delete whatever team is shown, but I don't get the full list until I delete. The dropdown arrow in Classic was faster.

Nice loophole Heather: well spotted! That being the case, and knowing that it's an Oracle database under the hood, I might try to train myself to think "I want everything, so I'll replace the default value and restricted-to-my-teams-only drop down with % to bring back everything (or null, if % doesn't work) . Wow....so it does! This looks like a recent enhancement? It would be nice if the dropdown just showed all teams without you first having to select all text and delete it, but at least there's a workaround. Hopefully Workfront can enhance this further to add a regular dropdown. David Cornwell
