Task Status Functionality not updating status' or percentages

In an example of a dual task which most of our tasks are. When selecting done with my part, the task status stays at new instead of in progress and the percentage does not update to 50% rather stays at 0. The other person sharing the task is also not receiving a notification that the task is ready for their part. It seems the percentage bar is not connected to any of these components. Please help! Good morning :) You have to update the status and percentages manually. I have not found a way yet in the settings or Knowledge Base where you can indicate what percentage a task status equates to. The only two task statuses that will adjust the percentage when selected are those that are equal to 'New', which would be 0%, and those that are equal to 'Completed', which would be 100%. Heather is correct ... the percent complete is designed to be changed manually and cannot be tied to a task status. As Heather noted, the New status will set the percent complete to 0% and Complete will set it to 100%. That's "out of the box" Workfront functionality and cannot be modified. When multiple people are assigned to a task, the percent complete doesn't update per person. So if you're marking "done with my part," you'll want to manually change the percent complete to 50% (which will set the task status to In Progress, since the work isn't completely done yet). Because multiple people are assigned to the same task, you'll both get the "new work" notification at the same time. If the other person needs to wait until you're done, then I would recommend posting an update on the task and tagging them, letting them know it's their turn.
