Someone asked me in an email of these reporting classes were new, or the same as we have had for the last ten years or so.

They're all new! They were posted on Workfront One about two months ago.

These are also different from the previous ones, in that there are lots of "hands on" activities to make it easier to really learn how to create filters, views, groupings, reports and dashboards.

There is also an activity workbook provided that contains all the activities from each class that has one, and includes step by step instructions to complete them. We're hoping this will be a handy "example" booklet that you can use as you get into creating your own reports after the class.

One of the reasons for this Beta Test is to get your feedback on how well this approach is working and how we might improve from here.

Hmm okay - to me other than the NWE skin/frame portion - the reports and builder is the same infrastructure since anaconda. I was under the impression this was into the new version 2 reporting dashboards? Maybe I'm not looking nor have the correct access.

Ahh, ok. Let me try to clarify this a little.

You're correct that the Report Builder hasn't changed in a while, except a little in the UI, and this training has been updated to the New Workfront Experience. Along with that update all the courses have been rewritten with more of a focus on the learner being enabled to build their own reporting elements, reports, dashboards and calendars. We're hoping this Beta test will help us understand if our attempts are working, and more important, what we can do to keep improving.

You mentioned "version 2 reporting". That's a big change in reporting that's still under development. There will be all new training for that. We don't have a date yet for that but it is far enough out that we felt it was important to update the training for the current builder at this time.
