Project pages not loading

I'm working in the new beta version and none of my project pages are loading. I keep getting an error message. "An unexpected error happened" I have refreshed many times and I am still getting the error. Katy G.

Katy and Rochelle, One of our project managers received the same error for everything this morning. She tried refreshing to no avail. Support said she just needed to log off and log back in after I took her off the enrolled list to go back to the legacy view. She logged out but now can't log back in for some reason. Jared, I had the same issue with not being able to log back in and I cleared all my browsing history to get it to work....we are using Chrome and the single sign on (SSO) feature. Once my browsing history was cleared the SSO worked again. Hope that helps. Luke C Luke Cooley Modern Woodmen of America

I am having a similar issue – I enabled the new Beta Experience in Live yesterday. I've stuck with it rather than reverting to the standard view and today I can't get logged in – I'm using Chrome and SSO too Regards Bob

Bob - you may need to clear cache or try incognito --- per my call with WF Helpdesk this is a known SSO issue. John Seitz DTCI | Disney | ESPN

Thanks John I cleared 24 hours of browsing history, closed/re-opened Chrome and that fixed it Regards Bob

I am very disappointed in this beta version. If I can't get pass the error messages, how and I supposed to learn how to use this program. Katy G.

obviously not any official statement - just my suggestion ---- your Preview Instance should be more stable for testing... to your point though yes - these bugs should be addressed and have the NE button disabled in production until then. John Seitz DTCI | Disney | ESPN

I agree. I would add that the process should be refined a little bit too. As far as Betas go, we're essentially performing testing for Workfront. Which is fine as it allows us to provide feedback and have a say in the end product. But when we report something here in the community, and WF responds with a confirmation that it's an issue, and then says "please open a ticket", I think that's asking too much. We're already spending a lot of time helping you with your product. Now you're asking us to spend more time to regurgitate what we just told you. We just gave you the information about the problem, WF should open the ticket. At the very least provide a button that'll convert the thread to a ticket or something like that. That's my two cents.

Vic, I agree. We're spending a lot of time testing and I've needed to unenroll myself just to do certain functions and then enroll again. Sending a trouble ticket is too much to be asking. Thank you for mentioning. ~ Susan Susan

oh wait this requires upvotes -- okay so no pizzas then :winking_face: but on a serious note yes - the reporting here should be enough. And when an error occurs that dialog page at should be kicking out an error log as well. John Seitz DTCI | Disney | ESPN

Hi All, Sorry for not responding sooner on this thread. I appreciate the time you have taken to post this issue and your frustrations here in community. We are well aware of this error and you don't need to open a ticket about the error you are seeing above. We have a partial fix rolling tonight that will resolve this for some pages. Otherwise, we are actively working to resolve this throughout the application. We have this as a Known Issue here . Our goal is that this Beta is fully usable to get your work done but unfortunately issues like this have impacted your ability to use the Beta. We do not want you to be performing testing and reporting bugs/issues. Instead, we want this Beta phase to be the time to give us suggestions and feedback on areas you are passionate about to help us improve the product further. Also, the Beta gives you and your power users the opportunity to start to get familiar with the new experience before we approach General Availability. We do expect small issues during this Beta as this experience is being enhanced to get to General Availability. However, issues like this multiple page error is not acceptable and something we are working to improve as quickly as we can. Please continue to follow along in this Beta Group as we in the Product team will continue to provide updates on this Beta and the next steps we are taking in this journey. Tomorrow we will have our next bi-weekly update on your feedback and our next steps. Also, thank you for the process improvement suggestion to have issues reported here in community to be moved automatically by Workfront to a Support ticket. Thanks Josh! And it felt like everything was working fine for the past week. That said, the last two days I've been getting that Unexpected Error all the time--especially when loading Reports, or going between any page within a Report (Prompt to Report, Report to Edit Report, etc.). I've been working primarily in the New Experience for the past two weeks, but when it comes to doing stuff like Report generation and maintenance, I usually switch back to Classic. -j John O'Sullivan Bristol-Myers Squibb Company
