Planning an impromptu (wait...what?) game night during Leap

Cancelled Sorry for those who hoped to attend, but I won’t be available Tuesday night. ————————— Hi everyone, I'm going to lug along a collection of games in case folks feel like getting together for a game night. I'm trying to determine interest, location and time . First up, interest. I'll list the games I'm bringing to give you a sense of what's in store. In general, the games will be in the "light party game" category, but I'll tote some card games and light strategy along as well. All of these are family friendly (no Cards Against Humanity). You don't need to know how to play any of these. They're all quick to learn and I love teaching people how to play them. All of these games (except Ticket to Ride) take around 30 minutes to play, so it's not a big commitment to jump in. Party games "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/46213/telestrations" Telestrations - combine the telephone game with Pictionary "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/45/liars-dice" Perudo - like Liar's Dice, but everyone has their own cup of dice) "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/39856/dixit" Dixit - try to get some of the players to guess your card, but not all of the players "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/20100/wits-wagers" Wits and Wagers - a touch of trivia, but the answers are always a number. try to guess which number is right, without going over. "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/117959/las-vegas" Las Vegas - a light dice game in which you're trying to take control of Vegas casinos "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/166384/spyfall">Spyfall - hidden role game in which everyone tries to find the spy, while the spy tries to determine where the heck they are "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/178900/codenames" Codenames - use one-word clues to get your team to choose the right cards, while avoiding the other team's cards ... and maybe a few others Card games "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/111173/little-devils" Little Devils - trick taking game in which you try not to take any points "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/929/great-dalmuti" The Great Dalmuti - be the first player to get rid of all your cards to claim the title of Great Dalmuti - for a while "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/161417/red7">Red7 - you can keep playing as long as you can play a better card, or change the rules to make your cards better Light strategy (players) "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/9209/ticket-ride" Ticket to Ride (3-5) - build railroads across the USA "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/160851/lanterns-harvest-festival" Lanterns (2-4) - tile placement game about the lantern festival "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/822/carcassonne" Carcassonne (2-5) - tile placement game in which you build roads, castles and cloisters in France "https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/142992/gravwell-escape-9th-dimension" Gravwell (2-4) - be the first ship to escape a space anomaly by using the gravity of the ships around you to slingshot yourself forward Then location If anyone has suggestions about the best place to do this, please let me know. We'd want a place with at least 6 real tables (not bar tops). Then time The only nights that work for me are Monday night (any time) or Tuesday night starting at 7:00. I can run as late as the venue will allow. I'm hoping for a nice turn out, but even if 4 people show up, we'll play something. Corey Young Dayton Children's Hospital

Let's do this! I'm good with doing this both nights, if people like. I was able to find a great space for it. Time Monday night: Let's start at 8:00 so that everyone has a chance to touch base at the Welcome Reception at 7:00. Location Workfront graciously let us use the space where the 1:1 sessions are held. Corey Young Dayton Children's Hospital
