NWE for Request & Review Users (Home)

Hi Community, I'm sorry in advance if this has already been discussed! I spent some time in preview yesterday testing the NWE from the perspective of one of my request and review users ("clients"). I noticed they have access to Home, but it only shows document approvals. We assign clients to tasks, (even though they can't mark tasks as done), and we pull those tasks onto a dashboard for them. (we assign a worker to their tasks as well, and the worker is responsible for marking the task off as done when the client has completed the task. (i.e. client posts copy to the project, worker marks copy/content due task as done.) Anyway, I understand if tasks can't show up in Home for request / review users, because this is not how Workfront functions currently, (this is why we made client dashboards) but I am partial to the current My Updates page in Workfront Classic because of the feed of recent updates they can see on projects, tasks and issues. If I give a client access to Home, it looks like the updates feed is no longer available, and they can only see documents pending their approval. Is this how home will look when it goes to GA? Thanks in advance for your time and support! Sydney Peterson Diversified Communications, Inc.

From my understanding, Home will remain pretty much like it is for GA. There are some changes coming to how the information displays on the right side of the window (to make it match the new headers on task/issue landing pages, etc.) when you select something in the Work List. But I'm not sure of the timeline for that. Home in NWE should show all types of approvals - task, issue, project, document, timesheet, and proof. I've done testing with all while creating the Collaborator license videos for the new experience, available here under "request and review work": https://experience.workfront.com/s/learn-new-workfront-experience?wchannelid=magbccxn5u I didn't have problems with anything not showing up (except when I forgot to put the project in Current status ... sigh). You may need to adjust your Work List filters to see everything. The My Updates area did go away when Home was first introduced in 2018. But Collaborator license holders can access similar information under the notifications icon. Allison Lippert Workfront allisonlippert@workfront.com

All of our request and review users are currently using Workfront Classic. A few weeks ago, their My Updates tab wasn't working and I worked with Workfront support to get the issue resolved. The situation shined a light on just how many of our "collaborators" (request / request & review level users) actually utilize their "My Updates" page. I know there are other ways that users can access their updates, but none of the alternatives provide a running "feed" of updates across issues, tasks & projects I'm worried about this feature going away when we move into the New Workfront Experience. (more so now since receiving so many emails from our users when the page wasn't working) Does anyone else have similar concerns about this? If so, has anyone thought of any workarounds? (not ideal, but something I'll need to start thinking about) Thanks! Sydney Sydney Peterson Diversified Communications, Inc.

I agree this is a useful feature for collaborators and is not something I had considered for the transition to the new UX. I do think this feature should remain. Thanks for highlighting this Louise Reynolds Premier Farnell Senior Global Marketing Workflow Specialist
