New Experience tabs

The ability to have multiple tabs in the New Experience is gone? Now only the "Pin current page" option remains. The tabbing option was my favorite and most used feature in the New Experience. As a System Admin I often have multiple things going on at once and this allowed an easy transition. Very disappointed! Michelle Bowden Fiserv ETG

Hi Michelle! Thanks so much for your feedback. We are continually improving and iterating on the New Experience and your insight is incredibly valuable. I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed with the new functionality. With the new "Pinning" you're allowed to pin as many pages as you'd like and switch back-and-forth between them, much like the tabbed experience. We believe the pinning will help mitigate more tabs open at a time than necessary and allowing users to thoughtfully save the pages they use often. If you have some time in the next few weeks, I would love to jump on a call with you to get more of your feedback. Best, Brooke Bell Workfront

Hi @Brooke Bell - I guess it shows that you can't please everyone (by that I mean everyone's perspectives are valid, but can vary a lot)! I'm quite glad that the tabs have gone, and I think we'll get a lot of value from the page pinning functionality. @Michelle Bowden regarding having many tabs open at once, I also do this and encourage my users to do it....but we do it using the browser tabs. I.e. Right-click on a task/project name and click 'Open In New Tab'.....you'll find this is much faster to do and switch between than the way Workfront had previously implemented pseudo-tabs within a single browser tab. One issue right now though in the Preview environment is that this is broken and doesn't work. I'll report that to WF. David Cornwell

You guys REALLY should delete the Help Video AND Write up in "The New Workfront Experience" area when taking away the options that pertain to the videos and writeups. I've been trying to find why I don't have the "New Tab" option for about 30 minutes (AFTER watching the Help Video). It wasn't until I searched this community that I found that they've been removed. The whole thing was a waste of time because the video was still uploaded to be viewed. If the video wasn't there, I wouldn't have spent time watching it, searching the "resource center" (as instructed by the video) to find out more about the Tab functionality, spending time looking for the "New Tab" option in my own Workfront Experience, or even writing this post! Hi Dave, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our apologies for any lost time here. Based on your feedback, we have added an annotation to this video that will direct others (who watch this video) to an article on "Pinning pages to customize your workspace..." ( https://experience.workfront.com/s/article/Pin-pages-to-customize-your-workspace-in-the-new-Workfron... ), to avoid further confusion. This is a temporary fix as we are still in Beta and we know that some of the upcoming enhancements to our product will affect this video, so we're aiming to do all of the changes at once. Be assured this video is on our list to update. Jeremy Flores Workfront

A good solution. I saw what you did in the video, and that's a big help to future New Experience users. Thank you for listening. Dave Dave Rulon Great Dane Limited Partnership Savannah, GA 912-644-2452

Thanks Dave for your post. We are also continually updating our help documentation. We have removed the help article you linked about tabs. Instead, we have this page for help on pins. Josh Boston Workfront
