We are targeting mid January to switch ALL of our Users over to the New Experience. 1 - Has anyone done this for their organization yet? Any tips? 2 - Do we know yet when the BETA will be over? Thank you in advance for any tips/suggestions. Liisa Blick Amway

Hi @Liisa Blick - how has your testing process been so far? Have you had a wide range of users already on the New Experience? Are there things in there which are enticing you to move all your users over? I've been working in the New Experience as much as I can and I'm needing to jump back into Classic less and less often. I tried getting one of our better project management users into the New Experience recently but we had to abort as the screen was freezing due to a combination of his custom views and fitlers. Once this is resolved by Dev, I will get him back into the New Experience and if no further major issues we'll start adding a few more users in various teams. At this point, I still feel that the Custom Tab experience is a bit rough....wasted space in the heading area which causes extra scrolling, and the scrolling experience is also a bit weird there with two vertical scrollbars. The standard search is also frustrating (filters work less often than they do work). I have beent told that work is being done in both of these areas, so that will certainly help the case to move forward once they're improved. For the moment, my best quess is that we might be ready to start moving users across en masse in around 3 to 6 months. David Cornwell

I have gathered a group of about 12 early adopter users that span Plan, Work, and Review license users. We started in July in our Preview environment and then all 12 switched over to the new experience in our production environment in late October after the issue with custom tabs was resolved and report flickers stopped. We just added 3 of our outside vendor users and nobody has asked to switch back. I found I needed to switch back a few times at first in September/October, but now have no need to. Ideally, I would like to switch All of our 325 users in January as we have other Change Management initiatives that will be upon us in February/March. If I knew when the BETA timeframe would end, then I can better determine the right time for our users to make this switch. Also looking to learn if any other organizations have made the switch for all their users yet and any advice they may have so we can prepare ourselves. Thank you, Liisa Liisa Blick

Hi Liisa, We have had customers move over teams to the new experience and new customers fully using the new experience . We are still in beta and therefore there are few beta related items that you should be aware of for this decision. We make weekly updates to the beta to incorporate new functionality and resolve issues. There will be changes to the user experience as we continue to improve the experience until general availability. We also do have quite a bit of the enablement materials and training finished but we plan to add more before general availability. You can see the training material available here . If you are interested, some of us in Workfront would be interested in meeting with you to understand your plans for rollout and see if the material we are providing meets your needs. Also, we can provide you more details on our next steps we plan to take to get to general availability. We are targeting for the beta to end in the next few months but we haven't selected an exact date yet. Once we get some of the key functionality David mentioned (including search), we will announce a general availability date. Thanks, Josh Josh Boston Workfront
