Mismatch Layout Template in Preview When Viewing Via Classic or New Experience

Avatar

Level 3
Hey all, Is this known behavior? I have user configuration mismatch when viewing a user via Classic or New Experience. When I view the profile via Classic, I see no layout template applied (which is what we wanted). When I view the profile via New Experience, there is a layout template applied. Thanks! Hi Ashley, Thanks for sharing this! Basically, since the Layout Templates in "Classic" and New Workfront Experience are different users can be assigned to different Layout Templates in "Classic" and New Workfront Experience situations. I assume that is the case for you, can you please check if the user is assigned to a Layout Template in New Workfront Experience? I hope that helps! Thank you. Yes, the user was assigned a layout template in New Experience, but not in classic. I had to switch my own account to New Exp. from Classic in order to see this. We already utilize the report showing which layout template is being applied a user and how it is being applied in Classic, and would want to get something like this that combines Classic and New Experience so I can see user configuration regardless of which experience I have. Is there a way, in general, to report on differences in user config. between Classic and New? _______________________________ Ashley Adam Amazon IT Services One Door System Administrator

Hi Ashley, There is no out of the box solution for seeing the differences between Layout Templates assigned to users between Classic and New Workfront Experience yet. At the same time, you can build a custom view to see the data, all you need to do is to add 2 new columns to your Users page view add the following queries by using text mode: Classic Layout Templates displayname=Actual Classic Layout Template textmode=true valueexpression=IF(ISBLANK({layoutTemplateID}),IF(ISBLANK({role}.{layoutTemplateID}),IF(ISBLANK({homeTeam}.{layoutTemplateID}),IF(ISBLANK({homeGroup}.{layoutTemplateID}),"No Layout Template",{homeGroup}.{layoutTemplate}.{name}),{homeTeam}.{layoutTemplate}.{name}),{role}.{layoutTemplate}.{name}),{layoutTemplate}.{name}) valueformat= New Workfront Experience Layout Templates displayname=Actual NWE Layout Template textmode=true valueexpression=IF(ISBLANK({uiTemplateID}),IF(ISBLANK({role}.{uiTemplateID}),IF(ISBLANK({homeTeam}.{uiTemplateID}),IF(ISBLANK({homeGroup}.{uiTemplateID}),"No Layout Template",{homeGroup}.{uiTemplate}.{name}),{homeTeam}.{uiTemplate}.{name}),{role}.{uiTemplate}.{name}),{uiTemplate}.{name}) valueformat= I hope this helps!
