When assigning a new layout template, our SAs have to go into the Classic version in order for the access to work. Doing it in the new experience never takes.

Hi Tracy, Would you please elaborate a bit on the issue you're experiencing? Basically, Layout Templates are interface settings and they are not connected to access levels. Looking forward to hearing more about your use case. Thanks, Gevorg Gevorg Kazaryan Product Manager

When I go in to edit the person's account in the Edit Person box, under Access, there is an option for Layout Template. I can choose which one I want to assign but in the new experience it never actually assigns the layout template. I have to get out of the new experience and do it in the classic. We are experiencing the exact same problem. Layout templates are not carrying over in the new experience for users. Also things they have had access to in the classic they do not in the new experience. Angela McCarthy amccarthy@amerihealthcaritas.com

I am wondering about a related problem with Layout Templates. I am using the NWE but none of my team is. If I want to update or see their "classic" layout template I have to unsubscribe from NWE, look at their Layout Template, and then resubscribe to NWE to be back in the Beta version. Am I doing something wrong, is there an easier way to manage my team's layout templates during this transition period? Jill Ackerman

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share that we were having a similar discussion in the other community thread and it might worth checking that discussion as well.

In the nutshell, I'd recommend creating a custom view on users page list, which will show the actual Layout Templates assignments in Classic and NWE. That'll significantly reduce the need to switch back & forth between 2 experiences. Feel free to use the following text mode for that:
