As a participant of the alpha testing program, you will have direct access to the current Workfront Analytics views. Please take a few minutes to learn more about the tool.
Analytics currently supports 4 premade views to help you gain insight into your projects' behaviors. Each view tells a unique story about your projects. Take a minute to get to know the views.
Historic Project Conditions
Understand how the condition changed over the life of each project. Planned dates are shown in blue and actual dates by the color of the project condition as it changes over time.
This chart answers questions like "What events extended my project past the original planned completion date?" and "How many projects are active?"
Understand the relationship between the remaining hours, the project condition, and velocity. The colored horizontal lines show remaining hours and the condition of the project each day. The date line shows the planned velocity from the start date to the completion date. The line adjusts when the dates change.
This chart answers questions like "What events extended my project past the original completion date?"
Understand how much time users dedicated to a project. Boxes represent projects. The size of the box shows how much time was spent on the project compared to other projects. The larger the box, the more time spent.
This chart answers questions like, 'What are we spending our time on?' and 'Are we focusing on the right things?"
Understand and compare project activities against other projects in Workfront. Project activities display in different colors to summarize specific events in a project over a period of time.
This chart answers questions like, "How active is a project compared against other projects?" and "What teams are working on a project and at what frequency?"
Enable Analytics in your Production instance
You must be a Workfront administrator to use Analytics in your Production instance. To enable Analytics:
In the Global Navigation Bar, select Setup , then click Interface > Layout Templates .
Select the layout template you are assigned to Or Click New Layout Template to create one.
On the Set Details tab, select Analytics from the In the Global Nav bar, show drop-down menu.
(Conditional) If this is a new layout template, assign yourself to the template on the Assign People tab.
Click Save .
Note: If you do not see any data in the Workfront Analytics tool, you may need to log out and back in.
