Default Project Duration Type / Task Constraint

All, Nine months and we're facing some struggles with end-users. Our implementation had a bit of a bumpy ride - to that end, my goal is this: we want to allow the end project user to be able update the due date of the task, that will ultimately calculate the duration of the task with the amount of time between. (ex. if 02/01 and the task date changed from 02/03 to 02/10 then the duration would update from 2 days to 9 days, etc.). I seem to be at the Task Constraint: As Soon as Possible / Duration Type: Effort Driven point - but it's calculating my milestones at 2400 days (?!) and pushing my planned completion date out to 03/17, 2028. Ouch! Help, please?!? Christina Jarosz
