Custom Form field in layout template

Avatar

Level 3
Hi, I had added a custom form field (project scope) to my creative teams layout template so they could read this information in HOME as opposed to clicking through to the project's custom form to read the project scope. While this information is still visible in WF Classic HOME, it is not visible in the Home dashboard of The New Experience. When I go into the layout template to troubleshoot, no field options for a custom form are visible in the Custom Form area. Does anyone else have this problem? Shouldn't we still see this field in the New Experience if we can see it in Classic? I attached an image for reference. My info on layout templates is a little dated, but at one point it was mentioned that the classic layout templates would not work in the new experience so you would actually need to create a separate layout template for the new experience. Not sure if this is still true but if it is, have you done this step? Secondly the screenshot you show is for the user experience in a Project, so can you click on the "Customize what users see" dropdown and select Home, so we can see what your users are meant to see in their Home? (if I understand your question correctly you're asking about Home and not their Project view.) -skye

Hi - So you don't need a whole new layout template, but every template (on the back end) now has a Classic and NWE version. So to update the layout template of someone in NWE, you yourself have to be in NWE. (Which also means if you need to change something in Classic, you have to remove yourself, and then go in and make the changes.) The screenshot you are showing is when you are in a "project", that isn't the screen for Home customizations. Anthony Imgrund FCB

That worked. Thank you both! Kathy Kathleen Palumbo Marketing Production Lead Blue Cross & Blue Shield of RI

Hoping you can help answer a similar question. I'm in the NWE and the layout template specifically does not include items such as priority. However, these are still showing up in the project overview. Also, there are some items that are missing checkbox - for instance, we don't use issue (they're requests) so why is the 'issue stakeholders' as an option. It doesn't give an option to deselect Primary Contact, or Severity - even though we don't use these and they are showing in my overview.

Hi - so I did a test and when I took off Priority, it is off Looking at your second screenshot though, I think that is an issue not a project. If you want priority taken off of issues, you have to go to that area in the Layout Template Anthony Imgrund FCB
