Hi Patty, We are testing something out with our HackerAgency. Although we took the request queue approach so they are technically issues not task. I'll let you know what they think about the process and if they like it, I'll spell out what I did for everyon! :)

Yes, we have a few teams that will include OOO or PTO as a parent task in each of their project plans so when they pull that project plan into a calendar they can fiter the OOO or PTO dates in or out. Let me know if you want more detail. Happy to share.

We have multiple departments tracking PTO as tasks in projects that are in Planning status, displayed together on a shared Dashboard. It works for us because the dates will show up in the "working on" view and does not require users to accept work requests. Each department has an admin role entering these dates.
