Say "SEE you at LEAP" and MEAN it !
At the risk of being this guy, I invite you to join me and use Glympse App on your IOS or Android Smart Phone so we can all find each other in the crowd at LEAP in Nashville this year.
It's kinda like each of us having our own Marauders Map...but with a few bonuses (and the main reasons I chose it):
OK ! I GET IT ALREADY ! I'M IN ! WHAT'S NEXT ?
I'M NOT SOLD YET . CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ?
ANYTHING NEW SINCE THIS ORIGINAL POST ?
WHAT ARE THE LEAP PUBLIC TAGS FOR MEET UPS ?
I look forward to seeing you at LEAP. And I mean it.
Regards,
Doug

I'd like to officially welcome the first few brave folks who were willing to come dance with me in using the GPS App for LEAP...but I forgot an important part of the recipe in starting a movement: it has to be public!
So! I propose we embed pictures to this thread as more folks join in to emulate the growing mosh-pit of members in our group, ideally until everyone going to LEAP is locked and loaded to use the GPS App.
At your leisure, take a screen cap of you and/or some buddies (as I did, below) so that those waiting in the wings will hop up and dance with us.
Of course, since LEAP doesn't actually start yet, and we all only have so much battery and location service band width, the map will be quiet and boring until LEAP is upon us...so let's tip the odds a bit:
And with that, here's the first -- thanks Nathan! See you soon!

Doug

Today's Glympse Glance shows how "wandering" shows as a trail...reminds me of the Family Circus wanderings that Billy used to do around his back yard.

Annnnnd...for the Spamapalooza Trifecta, here's the official version of LEAPGPSAPPHowToUsePublicTags.gif under the main thread (for the third time this morning, but Where People Will Expect To Find It).
On that note, I'm also going to add some important notes I've learned in the initial post, and will keep a list of the !Public Tags that I'm aware of, too -- just post them on this thread and tag me, and I'll add yours.

Doug

Today's Glympse Glance shows how you can find another person at LEAP:
They then get an alert on their phone, share their location (as you would, too), and Glympse guides you both on the map to find each other.

This Glympse Glance shows what happens when you STOP sharing your location, from both your perspective, and those who might have been watching you.
If you're heading to raid the fridge, might want to stop sharing on your way through the living room; "last known whereabouts" and all. Kind of the Glympse version of hide and seek: warmer...warmer...warmer...you found me!
Oh, and if you've sent a Glympse to someone (let's call her "my darling wife") that you're on your way home from work, but along the way, end up speaking to a colleague (let's call him "I'm pretty sure it was Dave") on your hands free in your vehicle, and decide to pull over somewhere (let's call it "the school parking lot near Doug's home") to finish the conversation (in an effort to be polite to all parties), but forget to turn off Glympse, don't be surprised when you do arrive to hear about it (e.g. "so, I see you stopped at the school for 10 minutes on your way home; how's Dave?")...aka: BUSTED.
Let's call it "True Story".

Doug

Well folks, it is nearly time!
This Glympse Glance shows how ANYONE in the LEAP US 2018 All Private Group can invite anyone to join us!
Please practice a couple of times, so that as we meet each other in Nashville, we can say "What's your cell? I'll send you an invite, and then we can Glympse so we can find each other and get together!"
Remember this guy?
As we all join in and share in leading, it starts a movement!
"The best way to make a movement, if you really care, is to courageously follow, and show others how to follow. When you find a lone nut doing something great, have the guts to be the first person to stand up and join in!"
Regards,
Doug
P.S. Fyi, many of my screenshots are animated; if you didn't realize that, might want to open the http://tinyurl.com/leapgps again using a browser or your phone
