Yes I already tried this one. When I do that the following thing happens:2 page gets to be 1 masterpage (without any page content);3 page gets to be 3 masterpage (without any page content);4 page gets to be 3 masterpage with content of the second page.

Hi there I hope I don't bother asking... but since the help is not really good translated at this point, I am not able to fix it.I got 2 floatable pages. The first one is linked to masterpage1.If the first page gets longer than 1 page (due to floatable fields), it should float into a page linked to masterpage2. (I do call them page1 and page1x)Page 2 is linked to masterpage 3.I made page1 and page1x workPage 2 doesn't work though. Whatever I try, it always inserts additional pages. (Sorry that I ...

Hello, I'm GermanProbably you can restrict the characters used for text entry, so for example ü is allowed in the German form but not in French. But you will NEVER be able to restrict the users staying only writing French in French forms 100%.1) You sometimes, not often, do encounter letters that are not typical for the language. (Though it can appear in any kind of word, it's quite regular for names.)2) Let's say I fill the French form. I encounter a problem when I type in the word "Müller". Thi...

I had the same problem, only that people here typed "yesterday" as a date...Though I searched for that isValid thingy I couldn't find a way to get a grip of the pattern validation with script, neither the syslanguage. Both are in the pattern section and it seemed as if they can't get out that easily... I'm not sure, if you got the solution already... ^^Here was the script that I used, though it only accepts one kind of date (to say the truth, I was just too lazy to type all kinds in there... )if...

Yeah I know a bit about this exclusiongroupthingy... the problem is making them mandatory...The problem gets worse since I don't know if the fields (and error-messages) will react in all versions of adobereader the same way.(There the problem began to begin with... the borders of mandatory radiobuttons appear in older versions in another way than in newer versions of adobereader.)I made a new thread for this... only thought if I'd be lucky ppl could answer here, because it's both about those che...

What kind of field is it? What do you want to accomplish?Like I said, I've got some validations for standard fields here...(checking date and timefields f.ex. because there were people who said yesterday was a date and error messages have no meaning ;D)Humm... that's strange... today I thought it already DID work...Probably I have written the wrong code

Okey... you got me totally wrong Sorry... maybe it's my bad English.Doing this mandatory stuff and so on is no problem. The borders on fields (radiobuttons) in a flowable form that will appear in all versions of AdobeReader are worse, but I can do that even in connection to other fields. (Toggle with hiding and showing between two different, nearly identical subforms)An error message is easy too.The problem is the standardized error message for mandatory fields (which I think first reads out the...

@rll111Try to understand the codings you have just a little bit. With these you can do quite much in a form already. If you ever wanna do more forms you'll have to learn it at least a little bit. ^^@djaknowSorry if I sounded rude... I'm more mad about myself... I was content with my solution (which was MUUUUUUCH more difficult to conceptionate than yours), just to see when the form is opened with another version of the reader I got doubled borders...(A problem that appears with radiobuttons is, ...

Hello again Long time no see ;DI've got some major problem with a group of checkboxes, where at least one has to be checked. The main question I've got about these is: Is there any AdobeReader version that gives a hint in the error message to which field is checked?I got a bit afraid of other versions since my last try ended in a doubled red border on newer versions. (Alternative is no border in older ones.)Another question would be, if I can cause the error-message to appear just by scripting? (...

@djaknowDoesn't work.1) I don't wanna check any boxes.2) Have you tried to mail it? I did... what happened: The Checkbox got a red border (memo: third kind of border I've seen at a checkbox) and the mailbox opened... no error message at all.3) I printed maaaaany forms without the mandatory boxes filled ;D (Luckily the ones I make these forms for don't want print validation, just the xml scheme.)4) Even if I provoke an error message (no problem doing so) I am not sure if there is no version of LC...

HummI am not sure how your overgiven values look like. If you overgive 1 as clicked and 0 as unclicked, why don't you make an invisible decimalfield couting up all your checkboxes. I think that method is quite easy...(Javascript calculate)Decimalfield1.rawValue = Checkbox1.rawValue + Checkbox2.rawValue etc.(Look that you got the correct names)In the checkboxes you simply add the line (Javascript/change):if (Decimalfield1.rawValue > 2) {this.rawValue = null; }The cross will vanish then... You cou...

Is there a possibility to use the same script in different fields?I got several scripts that will validate and change the user entries on different fields. Since they all do exactly the same thing, isn't it possible to just take the "real" script out on one field and refer on other fields to this script?

Don't worry... 8 fields are like nothing...I have a similar issue due to the different number/date patterns of different countries. So I need to overgive the values and change the specific patterns in a hidden field. So I do have 2 large tables which don't matter much.(After the mail with the xml arrives the difference between the formats 999,999 (other ways to write: Ger 999,999; Swiss 999 999) and 999.999 (other ways to write: Ger 999 999, Swiss 999.999) can't be detected.)

I had the same problem once. My suggestion:Change is meant as "user changes this entry" meaning "user changes this entry through entering this field" NOT meaning "a script, binding etc. changes this field ".But though I think you can script in your second box so that the first box event is executed.

Why don't you make simply some if sentences which involve all possibilities? Then you can put the script on each "change" event of the checkboxes.(Is some work but I think less than you already invested.)Another solution would be to write some script on the calculate event of your Textbox. Though the user won't be able to overwrite it then.(Javascript)if (A.rawValue != null){this.rawValue = "Text1 ";}if (A.rawValue == null && B.rawValue != null){this.rawValue = "Text2 ";}if (A.rawValue != null &&...

Okey... I am not quite sure if I can help much...On which event did you put it? I'd put it on change...Well, then check out if your "on" and "off" values really are really what you asked for. If they are and it still won't work, you could try to make 2 if sentences instead of an if...else.

I decided to write it in here... since I didn't want to start a new thread. The number formats are different in some countries. Here we have 100.000.000,99 in our neighbouring country the same pattern is 100,000,000.99Livecycle handles both because it can be set to look up the scheme used in the country and language of the user. That's quite cool. It gets a bit uncool if it's overgiven to another programm since the other programm can't look up the nation the user and their scheme anymore. So how to...

Okey for the first one. Did you try out Paul's solution of a dropdown e-mail list? You could also do this with a fixed or scripted value (it's even possible to make an e-mail chane). Normally it should overwrite whatever was written there first.Hmm... I am not good in doing things with reader extensions since I never could try it ^^I'll try to help you though... but better first find a solution for the first prob and then for the other one ;D

My solution (it's not simple though):IF it is REALLY many fields and really many possibilities of choosing then you can make a negative form that will write you the scripts.(Then you just need to overgive the fieldname to a specific field into a scripted script.)(Got a form with 190 checkboxes which handle about 2 600 if sentences... [hell didn't get they got that much] changing frequently ^^ you can imagine how long major changes take... ^^ about 1 min each ;D )Though making a negative and a sc...

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/462681?tstart=0Take a look at Paul's form. There are mail adresses set by choice. You could also make your own choice by using a counter (invisible Decimalfield that will add +1 when the user for example opens the document and set the mail adress according to it).

It will be available if you have put the fields together before. (Somehow like returning to the old thing.)I think you already have a table? Just add one row and put them everywhere together expcept in the last line.Or another solution would be to seperate the last lign from the table...PS.: This field is a field the user enters right? Easiest way you can do is make a table with one more row. Then put the headers together. After that you don't have any more problems making a %age in the table.I am not sure what you want to write in the text of the decimalfield... if there is nothing in there you could set the text to the right (layout) and make it "%".

Somehow on your form it worked in another way than in mine.Put this javascript on exit:if (this.rawValue > 100 || this.rawValue < 1){this.rawValue = null;}if (this.rawValue <= 100 && this.rawValue >= 1){this.rawValue = this.rawValue / 100;}this one on enter:if (this.rawValue != null && this.rawValue <= 1)this.rawValue = this.rawValue * 100;this pattern on the first heading (or whatever it is called):num{z9%}and this pattern on the second:num{zz}If the user enters anything that is no integer betw...

> I also want to reduce the field size to 2 characters, but I can only make it smaller from the left. For this one check out your menue on the right side under layout. There is an option you can set the borders. For the other one... you could set a field at the same menuepoint to a specific place... so you can avoid adding the field to the table but plugging it into it though. Otherwise... just make one more row and put the %age in there... ^^PS.: If you want you can also add the following script ...
