HiI have a similar issue. When trying to access package share from outside AEM (regardless of Firefox or Chrome) the website freezes upon login. However when I open package share in Firefox from within AEM it works almost every time. Not sure what the issue is but maybe this helps some of you lot.BR JDPS: Adobe y u no restart?

Hi kautuksahniI don't know for sure if it was a recommended value or just something that we picked up from online references back when we upgraded to 6.0 with CRX3. I thought I read it back then but it's been a while so I could be wrong. Anyways I'm more interested in whether there are some recommendations and explanation of the impact this value might have in regards to memory consumption and performance metrics. If there are any and some of the internal exerts could share some information on t...

FileDataStore.config - Recommended value for minRecordLength

Hi guysI was wondering if there is a recommended value for minRecordLength in org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.blob.datastore.FileDataStore.config. We've currently set its value to 4kb (which if I'm not mistaken was a recommended value back with 6.0). When studying [0] however I noticed that Adobe defines its default value to be 16kb (while [1] states the default value to be 100 bytes).. Has this value recommendation changed with AEM 6.3? Also is it possible to just change this value during a r...

smacdonald2008 wrote... I recommend going with what is stated in Best Practices - AEM Eng signed off on this and they feel it represents best practice. Hi ScottThank you for your response. Do I understand you correctly that what you suggest is that we should go for the CF overlay approach and keep the permission model permissive? That would be my favored approach however I'm concerned that it might have sight effects that we don't foresee at the moment.

Hi guysIn the past we had quite a strict permission model where each author did only see what he/she was supposed to see. From an authoring point of view this was good as authors couldn't reuse content from other brands (or even countries of the same brand). From an admin point of view however this was a nightmare. We have different brands and a total of about 70 different country websites. Some of the roles were specific to a country of a single brand while others included multiple countries of...

Hi guysI have a quick question regarding version purging. According to [0] I should use the Version Manager (PID com.day.cq.wcm.core.impl.VersionManagerImpl). Yet there is also a configuration for the Version Purge Task (PID com.day.cq.wcm.core.impl.VersionPurgeTask) which according to [1] is part of the maintenance tasks. Do I understand it correctly that the Version Manager can be used to clean up old versions whenever a new version gets created. However when no new version gets created it wil...

Hi guysJust a quick question regarding assets, workflows and the new touch UI. While with the classic UI it was quite easy for authors to just select multiple assets and apply a workflow to them I could not find this option in the touch UI. Even [0] does not mention it and refers to classic UI for this. At the same time Adobe recommends to do a switch to touch UI either this or next year [1]. Can we expext that this will be patched for AEM 6.2 anytime soon? Or is it already there and I am someho...

HiI don't know about AEM 6.1 but with AEM 6.0 you could create a new node at location /apps/granite/operations/config/maintenance/_granite_daily. Following are the properties that we have set for this node. Underneath this node you must create another node /apps/granite/operations/config/maintenance/_granite_daily/_granite_RevisionGC with the following content. This way you can define the time when the RevisionGC should be executed. I think it's also possible to define multiple nodes of type g...

Hi bslokiThanks for the response. Unfortunately I'm still not sure how to solve my initial question. Let's assume we have assigned the permissions in the correct order and everything is working fine. Both groups have mutually exclusive permissions and I cannot see how the order would make a difference then.My actual situation is even more complex than this. HiI'm currently using Sling Models to adapt several Resources to customized models. One of my models must be aware of the original resource it was adapted from (I basically need the name of the node but I guess it wouldn't hurt to have the full path as it will provide me with more flexibility). It seems that @SlingObject is what I'm looking for. Unfortunately AEM 6.0 is using Sling Models 1.0.x and SlingObject requires 1.1.x or so. Updating to AEM 6.1 is currently no option so I was wondering if...

Since I am using a content package with XML files to deploy OSGi configs to AEM {"/path/a","/path/b"} is not a valid expression.
