Improve Adobe Target UI

HiThis is expanding on the idea submitted by @Andrey in his idea Improve how Activity name is displayed in Adobe Target UI . I think the improvement can go beyond how the activity name is displayed. In the edit experiences screen, the way the interface displays audience and experience names is also less than optimal, with the amount of unusable space in the UI it is frustrating that I have to hover over my experiences, audiences, etc.. to reveal the full name. If we could drag the right hand rai...

Add mboxTrace to QA string generator

HiAdding the mboxTrace query string parameter to the Target QA string seems to unnecessarily long winded. The current process is to...1) Copy QA string from 'Activity QA' screen (then put somewhere)2) Click 'Done'3) Click 'Setup' from top menu4) Click 'Implementation'5) Click 'Generate Authentication Token'6) Select and copy the parameter.7) Add parameter to end of QA string I had copied in step 1This process could be made way more efficient by putting this option in the screen where the QA stri...

Option to generate activity QA string from Edit Activity screen

HiIt would be so much more efficient if within the edit activity screen we had the options to generate the activity QA codes. As it is, if I'm working on code and want to see the effect this has on an experience, I have to do the following...1) Save and close edit activity screen2) Click 'Activity QA' link in 'Overview'3) Copy link4) Exit page 'Activity QA screen' clicking 'Done'Then if I want to continue editing the code5) Click 'Edit Activity'6) Find experience I was working on, and work out w...

Experience code editor - use more of the screen/ retain adjusted size
Avatar

HiI work on a wide screen monitor so find it bizarre that the code editor will only take up a third of the width by default. In order to see more of my code I therefore widen and lengthen this window, fine. However, as soon I save, look at another experience, etc, it'll revert back to the original size. Is there anyway to make this a bit more smart, e.g. make the window a reasonable size for my display, or retain the size I adjust the window to?ThanksDan

Profile Script Editor - Ability to check script status within editor
Avatar

HiAn idea that would make creating profile scripts slightly less frustrating would be if Target told me within the script editor window whether the script had any syntax errors, or errors that would prevent it going live. Only after saving it, going back out to the 'Profile Scripts' page, waiting for a few seconds, then looking at the status, do I find out if it will run or not. I'd like to be able to check within the editor that the code will run, before saving it.ThanksDan

Re: Retrieving array values within a profile

Hi AndreyUnfortunately this doesn't solve it, for some reason when I try to use those 2 index positions in the product_affinity variable, e.g. product_affinity[x][y] the code errors. I don't know whether the javascript within the profiles is capable of taking 2 dimensions, seems odd I'm able to count the number and push, but seem unable to retrieve these individual values within it.ThanksDan

Hi AndreyI've included the beginning of the script, see below. To summarise, I'm retrieving the contents of local profile 'Product_Affinity' and putting this in the variable 'product_affinity' if it exists. I'm then attempting to put the value located in index [0][0] of this 2 dimension array into the variable 'array_pick'. This is the line that creates the error.// *** Profile Script beginningvar product_affinity = [];var prod_display_index;var prod_display;var prod_type_pos;var add_prod;var ad...

Retrieving array values within a profile

HiI'm attempting to retrieve specific values from an array I have stored within a profile. The usual method I would use to retrieve these via Javascript doesn't appear to be working, so not sure if I've missed something obvious or not?!I have created an array with 2 dimensions, which, from looking at the mbox trace, seems to look as I would expect it to look, see below:The above array contains 4 2 dimensional values. If I copy this local profile to a variable, e.g.var testArray = [];var testArra...

Analysis Workspace Efficiencies - Segment and Calculated Metric Builders

Having started to re-use Analysis Workspace, after being away from it for a little while, it's been great to see the progress that has been made with the visualisations and the neat functionality that has been added. However, with the news that Ad Hoc is to be deprecated, I'm concerned at the number of inefficiencies that continue to make using Analysis Workspace a frustrating experience, and will keep me using Ad Hoc until it is eventually switched off. In particular I've found great frustratio...

Analysis Workspace - Using shift to select dimension values should only select what user has chosen

HiNot sure whether this is working as designed and I've missed a feature, or is a bug/issue...here goesScenario:I have a freeform table with a basic breakdown. I've dragged over the 'Last Touch Channel' dimension to get a better breakdown of where visitors have come from. I now want to remove/delete 4 of these channel values and just show one. I select 'Email', hold shift and select 'Natural Search' expecting all values between this to be selected, i.e. Email, Session, Direct and Natural. Howeve...

Analysis Workspace: Expand freeform panel segment logic

Hi A useful feature I'd like to see added to the freeform tables is to be able to select something other than the default 'AND' logic when inputting multiple segments. Being able choose 'OR' ,'NOT' etc would make the workspace more accessible to my end users, and save me having to create multiple additional segments that would do this logic. Perhaps having different logic expression in different rows to keep this simple to use? ThanksDan

Hi Thanks for your reply. For my reports I would probably not use the 'next direct hit' a great deal because this is so restrictive. Ideally the fallout report would be a like sequential segment (with all its flexibility), but with a metric count at each stage! Thanks Dan

HiCould the ability to manually rename the touchpoints be added, I'd prefer a user friendly name be presented as opposed to an entire page name or a list of segments which could confuse those using the reportThanksDan

Hi I would find it very helpful if I was able to specify when I want the next touchpoint to be recognised in the fallout report, i.e. within 2 page views or after 3 hits. At the moment it based on seeing that page anytime within visit or unique visitor, find below my crude drawing as an example! Many thanks Dan

Hi Was literally just about to right this as an idea, I'm having the same issue where I'm going to have to rebuilt about 30 segments which have segments nested within them. What is also an issue is not knowing exactly which segments I have to update as there's no way of tracing where these changed segments are being used. Dan

Manual Row (Dimension) ordering in Freeform table

It would be great if the option to manually select the ordering of the row dimensions were available, i.e. dragging and dropping where should go, just as we're able to do with the column dimensions - currently there is only the option of ascending or descending order. In terms of ordering of the columns it would also be useful to have the option of sorting the labels in ascending and descending order.

Segments and data not being correctly attributed

HiI am finding when using multiple segments there is a tendency for the data to be incorrectly attributed to the segments I'm using. In other words the segments are the ones I've chosen, and the metrics data being returned is correct, they're just not being correctly matched to one another. As for suggestions: It would be extremely useful to be able to alter the segment section width in order to be able to fully read the segment names, as opposed to hovering over the segment to find this out.
