I'm having some similar challenges trying to navigate my way through creation of data elements, including one that seems fairly simple. I'm trying to capture the text inside the H1 tag, but haven' t found a way to make that work using a variety of settings, including the one attached. Honestly, what would be really helpful is an inline validator within the tool when creating data elements and also some tool tips. Together these might prevent some of save>>approve>redo cycles.
