Yes, A PDF form should be Reader Extended inorder to make Database or Webservice (SOAP) calls in Adobe Reader through Workspace--Santosh

Tried also to modify the JVM parameters from the shell by (for example):export JAVA_ARGS="-Xms256m -Xmx1792m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m"also didn't solved the issue.PhilSOLVED:---------------Modified the Sun JVM parameters from the shell by:export JAVA_ARGS="-Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m"

By default security is set on for Web Services in LiveCycle. Depending on which client you are using will determine whether you can leave security on/off. Acrobat/Reader 9 added support for secure web services. Meaning when the web service is called a dialog wil appear to allow you to enter valid credentials.
