Re: How to create a web version of XFA forms - Adobe LiveCycle 23-01-2013
Thank you Jono.. I was worried no one was going to talk to me. I will have a look at the LiveCycle Forms server product. I wonder how much they cost. I couldnt find the price there. Also I wonder if it works on Livecycle Designer ES (since I havent got ES2 or ES3 yet). If I was to create a standard HTML form and then process the data into XML, how do I later import it into the pdf? If there any tutorial on the web where I can learn how to do this?Thanx Jono...

How to create a web version of XFA forms - Adobe LiveCycle 17-01-2013
I have created a few dynamic XFA form using Livecycle designer. They work great and is getting quite popular amoung our users. But the problem with these forms are: a) A lot of user using Mac are having problem opening it from their Safari browser. Its a common problem and I get tired of troubleshooting a lot users asking the same questions over and over again. b) A lot of users are now preferring to use it on ipads and tablets and there is simply no way to open these forms in tablets. I was loo...

Re: Converting Livecycle Dynamic XML pdf forms to Word? - Adobe LiveCycle 14-11-2012
Thank you radzmar. Printing to pdf and then saving it to word doc works. But the generated word file does not have the same alignment as of the original file. Meaning, some elements are distorted and aligned incorrectly. Is that normal? Also is there a way to add a button on these XFA forms that generates / converts the filled pdf document to a word doc or other formats such as jpeg, etc through a server based conversion so that users with only Adobe reader can still convert these files by click...

Converting Livecycle Dynamic XML pdf forms to Word? - Adobe LiveCycle 14-11-2012
How do I convert a dynamic XML pdf form created from Livecycle designer ES to Microsoft word? I have Acrobat X and when I click on File -> Save As - > and choose 'Save as type' as "Microsoft Word Document (*.doc)", I am getting this message: "Save as failed to process this document. No file was created."Is this because its a dynamic XML form with many javascripts in the form design? if not, what could be the cause of this that is making the file not savable to word format? All of these forms are...

Flatten Dynamic pdf Files - Adobe LiveCycle 12-04-2012
Hi,I have a dynamic pdf file where users complete text fields, drop down lists and image fields. I also have lock all fields button script that I found in this forum to lock all form fields once user completes it. I was wondering is there a way to save or produce a flat static pdf file in the end? Sometime the dynamic form can increase in size due to the size of image inside the image field. So is there a way to flatten all its contents in the end and produce a smaller copy of that file? This wa...

Re: minimum height for flowed subforms - Adobe LiveCycle 15-03-2012
Thank you dohanlon....now it makes sense on why the flowed subfrom has zero height when its contents are hidden. I tried your method of adding a positioned subform at first and the hide this subfrom when the table rows are visible, but i scratched that idea since the height still changes when this positioned subform is hidden when other fields are selected. Also I understand now that the other method would be to control the margin and change it based on the number of fields visible in it. But in...
