Something like this should work.The attached form has three drop-downs (dd1, dd2 and dd3) each with a default value of "00". On dd1 exit event I check if "01" was chosen. If so I set dd2 and dd3 access to "protected" and their values to "00".// form1.page1.subform1.dd1::exit - (JavaScript, client)if (form1.page1.subform1.dd1.rawValue == "01") { form1.page1.subform1.dd2.access = "protected"; form1.page1.subform1.dd3.access = "protected"; form1.page1.subform1.dd2.rawValue = "00"; form1.page1.subfo...

Acrobat creates interactive PFD forms referred to as Acroforms. LiveCycle Designer creates interactive PDF forms referred as a XFA (XML Form Architecture) forms. You can neither create an XFA form in Acrobat nor create an Acroform in Designer. You can import an Acroform into Designer and create an interactive XFA form, however.Steve

You can add code to the reset button click event to set the colour back to the background colour of the form. For example, the following code checks if the border fill colour is "51,153,102" (green). If it is, set it to "255,255,255" (white). //form1.page1.subform1.resetBtn::click - (JavaScript, client) xfa.host.resetData();if (xfa.resolveNode("form1.page1.subform1.bar.ui.#textEdit.border.fill.color").value == "51,153,102") { xfa.resolveNode("form1.page1.subform1.bar.ui.#textEdit.border.fill.col...

Interactive PDF forms cannot be saved in Reader. There are three options:1) Use Acrobat rather than Reader.2) Use the server component LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES to enable save from Reader.3) With limitations, use Acrobat Pro or Extended to enable users to save form data in Reader. You use Assembler for this purpose.1) Assembler can be accessed through LC Java API. See http://help.adobe.com/en_US/enterpriseplatform/10.0/programLC/help/index.htmlAPI Quick Starts (Code Examples) > Assembler Service API Quick Starts2) Last week I posted on generating and merging PDF's from PostScript. Take a look at the assembly service instance in the .lca. Assembler uses DDX (Document Description XML) to describe document construction. NOTE the .lca was developed with ES 3 (aka ADEP). The ....

Is the DB2 database the same database being used for LC?If not, you need to add an entry in a file *-ds.xml located under C:\Adobe\LiveCycle8.2\jboss\server\all\deploy. There should be at least two *-ds.xml files in the directory for the LC installation. The data source xml files add the JNDI names visible in Workbench. I'd recommend creating a separate *-ds.xml for application data source so as not to mess with LC. You can copy-and-paste one of the datasources nodes and create a new file, such ...
