LCES 2 on windows 2003 server (32bit) with oracle db? - Adobe LiveCycle 12-05-2010
Hi,I started reading the "Preparing to install LCES2" guide. In the guide on p.12, I can't find a supported configuration for Windows 2003 server, JBoss, 32 bit OS and oracle 10g/11g database. Is this configuration not supported anymore? We currently have LCES 8.2.1.3 running on a jboss application server on a Windows 2003 server, 32 bit OS, and an oracle 10g database. Do we really have to change to 64 bit OS?Any information is welcome!Kind regards,Els

Re: How to configure heap on JBoss in Windows Server 2003 running as a service? - Adobe LiveCycle 12-05-2010
Hi,What do you mean with 'increase these settings"? Are you trying to change them in the registry?Did you try to delete the windows Jboss service and create the service again with the new memory settings?Fot example:JavaService.exe -uninstall JBoss420JavaService.exe -install JBoss420 "%JAVA_HOME%\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll" -Djava.class.path="%JAVA_HOME%\lib\tools.jar";"%JBOSS_HOME%\bin\run.jar" -Dfile.encoding=utf-8 -server -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -Dsun.rmi.dgc.client.gcInterval=36...

XMLForm.exe.hdmp - Adobe LiveCycle 28-09-2009
Hi,We have LCES Update1 SP2 installed with the adobe preconfigured jboss on a Windows2003 (SP2) server. On the server, I found 2 files: XMLForm.exe.hdmp (size about 600M) and XMLForm.exe.mdmp (size 100K). These files are in the C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Temp\WER****.dir00. On the development server, there are 3 such folders (1.8G diskspace); on other servers, there are 0 or 1 folder. Are these folders and files dumps during installations? Can they be safely removed?Kind regards,Els

I did a new install and everything wen...

Re: ALC-UPG-080-002: Failed to migrate critical data - Adobe LiveCycle 26-01-2009
I solved it by deinstalling everything from the old version (7.2.2) and I did a new install for the Livecycle ES 8.2 software without any problem. So upgrading from 7.2.2 to 8.2 didn't work for me, but a new install has no problems. For me it was possible to do so, because we only use forms and reader extensions, and I lost no data, but I think this isn't a solution for everyone......Good luck!

maintaining LCES database - Adobe LiveCycle 07-01-2009
Hi, In chapter 11 (maintaining the LCES database) of the "administering LCES" guide, I read the part "Oracle database: Modifying table indexes" on p. 112. The first thing is to modify the ix_45 index of the tb_assignment table, but in our database there is no such index for this table and the ix_45 index belongs to the tb_branch_instance table and has other columns. The manual is from october 2008. I have a new install of LCES 8.2.1 SP1 running on jboss 4.2.0. Any explanation for this?Kind regar...

Re: TurnKey Installation on JBOSS stops after entering key - Adobe LiveCycle 18-12-2008
Same thing here, when trying to install an additional component (see http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b74837/1). I did a manual install of LCES 8.2 update 1 SP1. After choosing manual and clicking next, the installer hangs, I couldn't click next, back or cancel anymore.Any suggestions?Els
