In our case it was the issue that the file format wasn't whitelisted on the actual mid-sourcing server. the issue was resolved after TechOps team of Adobe whitelisted it on their end.

Delivery and tracking logs are only stored for 6 months by default. If you want to extend the length these are retained, you'd need to speak to your CSM & TechOps to try and get this extended.

This would need to be done using the Enrichment activity. You can configure it to accept data from two sources, and choose which is the primary source. You then enrich that data with data from the alternative source.

Unlikely Richard if you are only targeting personal email addresses.We generally run into the problem with large financial organisations - their networks are very hot on emails with images and links to avoid phishing. A nightmare to develop email layouts for!

To export a list you need to have an SFTP server available or an AWS account. You are unable to export a file directly to your local machine.Once the file has been exported to the SFTP area, you can access that file and save a local copy if required.In terms of the fields you need - You specify these within the extract file activity.

I've noticed the count function is available if you add Additional data to a query from an alternative data schema, but I'm not sure how to make this work for the native(profile) schema.We'd find this functionality useful too so I'm keen to find out if it's possible too.

John, your're a genus. Thank you!I was missing the additional data step. Rather than taking that data into a reconciliation I have used an Enrichment activity, and then taken that into a segmentation to determine if there is incoming data or not to make it work how I needed to.Hope to return the favour one day.

By default it should reconcile against the email address they provide, so if the profile already exists it will just update that profile rather than create a new one.Unfortunately there is no way you can validate the data though, so users will be directed to the same confirmation page, regardless of whether they are a new profile, or if they already exist.
