My form has a hidden HELP page that is accessed by clicking a button. It is the last page and has a button to close/hide it again. I set the form up so that the HELP page, whether visible or not, is not counted in the total number of pages/page count ("Page # of ##") displayed at the bottom of all of the other pages. I further put in the Action Builder to hide the HELP page upon saving or printing. However, someone wants to print the HELP page. I can put a "Print HELP" button on the HELP page and...

To add "sample text" in a text field, right-click on the text field and select Patterns > Display.Check the "Allow Empty" box and enter your sample text. Granted, it will be in the same font/default color as the text being entered; however, you can add a couple of Action Builder routines to change font colors, such as making the sample text a light gray and entered text as black. To do that, three Action Builder routines are necessary: 1) Initialize the text field and set its font color to gray; ...

I created a repeatable subform with all relevant objects: an office name text field (Office_TextEntry), a concurrence-select drop-down field (ConcurSelect_DropDown) , a name field for the person (CoordinatorName_TextEntry), a comment text field (CoordinatorComment_TextEntry), and an initials text field (Initials_TextEntry). [Nothing special about the initials text field, it's just a regular text-entry block.] Since the subform is repeatable, I can have a button set up so the users can click to a...

Digi-signing a form creates the digital equivalent of a snapshot of the form as-is upon signing and incorporates that into the signature; hence the growth. That way, the reader can determine from the digi-sig if any content in the form has changed. As you have noted, the bigger the initial file, the bigger the signature growth--and the more signatures, the more it grows too.I had this same issue and our email servers limit file size to 10MB or less. Our form had multiple digi-sigs and we had to ...

Take a look at this answer I gave another person about adding days to dates: Re: Adding Days to a Date. So, depending on whatever value the user picks from the radio button (90, 180, 365), add that number to a periodSelect variable, then run a Num2Date call to set the value of the newDate field. The example below presumes you have a radio button called radioButton1 with default button values of '0' for 90 days, '1' for 180 days, and '2' for 365 days.Example:var periodSelectvar newDate_Numif (rad...

From your screen grab, I see you have two Master Pages (labeled Page1 and Page2) and at least two pages (one labeled HeaderPage1 and another labeled Page1Item).Without seeing more of the hierarchy and not knowing whether you have any flowed content, this is the best guess I can give you:The blank page you're experiencing is a result of not properly setting how many times to replicate/repeat each Master Page. For instance, if you have Master Page Page1 set to repeat and your content (presumably fl...

What you are needing is a different "Master Page" for each different footer you want. The form I created has three different master pages, all with different footers. Actually I have four different master pages, but the fourth is used as a "how do I fill in this form" help page. When you have the form open, look at the left column and click on the page-1 master page. From there, insert however many copies you'll need and give them names like "Customer_Copy", "Merchant_Copy", "Accounting_Copy", etc...

I have the same basic need to manipulate dates, as have several other people. Therefore, in helping you, I have helped myself. When dealing with dates in LiveCycle, you have two scripting languages to choose from: JavaScript or FormCalc. JavaScript will give you fine-grain manipulation--at the cost of more stringent programming; whereas FormCalc can give you the basics of what you are needing and easier-to-manipulate function calls. This example uses FormCalc. You already have your two date fields...

I want to set defaults on my form, such as graying-out and disabling coordinator blocks and have used form1.docReady under the Action Builder (i.e., "When form form1 has finished loading" do this and this and this). Some coordinators on my form are unnecessary for routine issues, hence their blocks being disabled/grayed out; however, certain input choices require higher-level coordination and that enables and un-grays those coordinator blocks.A user goes in, selects different things, enters vari...

Each digital signature object will have its own individual properties, one of which is what gets locked (if anything) when signed.Click on a digi-sig object and look at the Object Palette, specifically the Signature tab. By default, it will lock the entire document. You have to set it to something else. For instance, the initial evaluator wouldn't want anyone changing what he/she wrote, so you can create a "Collection" of those initial evaluator's objects (name, office, evaluation, etc.) and lock...
