If your document needs to be only in PDF then you could make use of Output service (also part of AEM Forms as PDF Generator). You will need to create a document template before hand into which the XML will be merged to produce the PDF. You could also get the HTML output of the same data merged template, though keep in mind that HTML will not be responsive and will be PDF like.

Hi,You could use Designer to create forms and save them as PDF. But in order for them to be filled up using the free Reader, you'd need to have the PDF reader extended. And for that, you'd require the server. However, with the LC server on the backend, it opens up a whole lot of other possibilities like submitting the data into a workflow for further processing, or using the same form design and have it rendered into HTML so that the data could be captured using just a browser, across devices.As...

There is no change in our plans for the PDF form renditions. There are many use cases that are solved by PDF forms which may be hard if not downright impossible to solve in HTML.Regards,Suvrat

At this point, the LC team has not quite declared support for IE10 given there are some issues. The team plans to fix it in quick time. I dont know about Chrome 26.

As far as I can tell, this use case is not allowed because of cross site references related security concerns. The form can refer to the images stored on the same server from where the PDF is served, but the images cannot come from external servers.

You need to use Workbench in order to use the Email service referenced in the link you posted. When you say you cannot find this message body script anywhere in LC, did you try Workbench?

You need to buy LC Forms for this use case. LC forms contains the API to extract data in XML format from the PDF.

I'd like people to look at the mobile data capture capabilities introduced with the ES4 release. Now you can use the same existing xdp forms and get them be filled on the mobile device using the browser. Alternatively, if you use LC Process Management, then the users, with the help of LiveCycle Mobile Workspace, can work on the tasks from the mobile device like iPad and fill the form with no loss of fidelity right from inside the task as one would do it with Workspace. Please see http://helpx.ado...

Hi,You might want to check out the ES4 offering of the HTML5 rendition of the XFA forms. Please see http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/livecycle/help/mobile-forms/introduction.html for more details. Do notice that while the documentation calls the html5 rendition as Mobile form, but there is really no stopping in the XDP to render on any browser that supports html5 including Desktop based.I understand that this may not be the answer you are looking for. But, ES4 has done much more to support...

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. My thought is that the reason why Gartner dropped LiveCycle from BPM category is because LC dropped BPM and it seems that availability of dashboard is one of the key requirements for a tool to be BPM. Hope you were able to prevail and are using LiveCycle in your workplace.

Form in Workspace requires the form to be associated with a process. Once the form is visible in Workbench, one needs to use it in a user task or start process in order for it to be used in Workspace.

Reader Mobile supports what are called Acroforms. However, the forms created in Designer are not supported by the Reader Mobile. As for how to enable the users to capture data using LiveCycle Designer based forms on tablets, you might want to read the blog: http://blogs.adobe.com/livecycle/2012/11/livecycle-es-next-release-roadmap-and-prerelease.html

Hi,First of all, a Guide is not a PDF, so you cannot apply RE rights to Guide.Guide lets you do the data capture using a RIA kind of approach, whereas PDF Forms have paper fidelity. These are two different use cases. If you need to use Guide for data capture, but once that has been done, you want to finally have a PDF statement of record, then maybe the below outline could be of some help:What you need to do is to render Guide, get the data submitted by the user and pass that data and the XDP (wi...

KKPatel,I suggest you post your message to LiveCycle (6.x & 7.x) forum. This forum is for LC solution accelerators, and it is likely that the folks who monitor the LC7.x forum may not be watching this forum.Anyway, is it possible to modify the process which is called to create the PDF copy of the form such that it enumerates the attachments and attach the documents all over again in the form? Something similar to what the clerk does manually? Thanks,

You need to build DDC_Client to obtain DDC_Client.swc. Once you have done that you can copy the .swc to the location the doc mentions.hth,
