Hi Piotr, I don't think this is possible unless you are using form guides.

I would like to attach file to form. I cannot use normal PDF attachment, because I submit data using webservice and my XML Schema "has place" for attachments.Of course I can use ImageField, but user can only add files to it. The export is blocked (or I don't know how to do this)So my question is: any ideas? 🙂Thanks for help

Make sure that in field's Object > Value menu, the following settings look like this:Type: User Entered - OptionalDefault: Validation Pattern: Validation Pattern Message: Error: Validation Script Message: Error: Basically, all fields should be blank except for the drop down menu Type, which should be changed back to the default "User Entered - Optional."

I'm actually working on an almost identical situation. Supposedly you can use subform sets with the appropriate bindings and only the right data will show. I've been unsuccesful so far. Anyone care to offer a suggestion? Thanks!Ryan D. LunkaCardinal Solutions Grouprlunka@cardinalsolutions.com

No it does not do that. It will do things like limit length (single property settings but it will not build patterns for you.

Hello, you have to change your XML to smth like this: and make this file as source for DataConnection. After that you will be able to bind tables and add instances.

For neatness: You could use a Table component that has buttons, etc in its rows. The table can then dynamically grow and shrink according to the button events or other eventsIt just involves a bit of scripting.Looks at the Adobe resources online & google for ways to dynamically make a table grow and shrink. That could help with the user friendly part of it!

The attributes will become nodes (with an @sign at the beginning) in the dom structure .....so you should be able to use $.field.atr[*].@artIf you create a large multi line field you can dump the data dom into that field to see its structure.TextField.rawValue = xfa.datasets.data.saveXML("pretty").This is only for debugging ...once you figure it out remove the field.

There is a loadXML method that you can use to load your XML in the data dom. There are 2 parameters that you can pass that tell the function whether you want to overwrite any existing nodes and whether you want to load children or not. I do not have the docs in front of me so I do not know which is which, but if you want to load your xml at the same level as the data node then you can use this command:xfa.datasets.loadXML(string_output.rawValue, false, false)Where string_output.rawValue is the f...

That is all that is provided for you. I would question why you would have 5000 items in your listbox. Is there a way to break it up into smaller more manageable sizes?

Yes ..I believe it was introduced in version 8.1. You can use a test application that ships with the product that will allow you to test your DDX file. If you look under the adobe/configurationManager/deply folder there is a file called adobe-assembler-ivs.ear. Drop this into your app server deploy folder then you can access the sample bu going to this URL:http://localhost:8080/adobe/livecycle/samples/assemblerYou can build and test your DDx files on the fly from here.

Not without reworking the schema or selecting a different node to be your root node (assuming you only need part of the schema).
