So, this is bizarre.I set up a 4 branch Gateway. Each branch has 3 operations. The 1st activity in each branch is a sub process that has a user task embedded in it.If the user tasks are completed so they don't occur at the same time, this all seems to work fine. However, if Approver 1 and Approver 2 (any pair of Approvers, I just 1 and 2 in my example) submit their forms at the same time, I get results like I show below.Note, the variable approver_01 is ONLY updated in branch 1 and the variable ...

I don't believe this is possible in 8.2.I thought this issue had been fixed in 9.X.What version are you using?

Actually, it had nothing to do with a SVG named color. It had to do with the fact that my DDX statementexpects 2 pages and it was only supplied a 1 page document.I had to add a couple steps at the beginning of my processing to fetch how many pages the PDF had and then determine whether to add the additional pages.

I ran a test. I did experience concurrency issues, i.e., dirty writes. My suspicion is that even using a SetValue (rather than my custom DSC) could still see this issue. After all, under the hood, the SetValue is a Java component which takes parameters and provides an output. I could write test code to prove this I guess.I think my only real choice to resolve this is to write my own mutex to serialize access to my critical process variable. If mutex is set, route to Wait activity and try again la...

Is there any way to define the activity name dynamically? You know the one that shows up underneath the activity and also shows up on the task card in Workspace.I have a user task in a subprocess and would would to have that task name be set by the calling process.

Consider the following:I have a process that has a Gateway with 4 branches. This process has an XML variables called xml_data that is considered to the be the "master".Each branch of the gateway has a user task. Each user task form has it's form data set to xml_data in it's properties. When the user task is complete, I need to extract specific parts of the XML from the completed form data and insert it back into the "master". I wrote a DSC to do this. It's a lot easier than doing this XML manipulat...

Mmm, trigger? I don't know of a way.But I supposed you could have a process that has a timer that peroidically queries the database for changes and then do the same thing. You could also perhaps write a Service and then use the Java API to start a process?Maybe take a look herehttp://blogs.adobe.com/livecycle/2010/12/how-to-invoke-a-livecycle-process-periodically.html

Write a DSC to do it. I think that's the best way. Or have your form do it (especially if its Flex)

I got this sort of working. I used a 2 step process.Using Word, I created a "blank" PDF. I used a greenish background color on the Word doc so I could see it.Use DDX to create a PDF with the Watermark I want. I am doing this really only to provide the background color. The content of the StyledText is generated on the fly from user input, so I can't "hardcode" the size. This is line 1 of my watermark with a background color This is line 2 of my watermark with a background color This is line...

Several of my 8.2 processes are quite large (perhaps 200+ activities). Unfortunately, the requirements of the process means that I don't have a great deal of subprocess flexibility. They are getting painful to edit because:it takes a long time to save changesit takes a long time to launch to editmoving activities around the screen is slowactivities no longer want to "line up" to the workbench grid when done movingMouse up on drag activity often doesn't want to release the activityI suspect this ...

For example ..count(//process_data/xml_data//User)it correctly returns a value of 5 on my test XML document. Great. How would I go about grabbing the 3rd match or perhaps iterating through all matches?I have tried the following//process_data/xml_data//User[1]this works. I would say you have two choices.Write a DSC to do thisGrab the content of the XML node as a string, say SSS. Then maybe something like this ... concat(substring-before(SSS, "{$Tckt_Cd$}"), YOUR VALUE, substring-after(SSS, "{$Tckt_Cd$}")) and then write the concatenated value back into your XML

I haven't noticed any issues.I am sending emails as task in a process that a user initiates. I am not using the custom email template that is part of the Assign Task operation of the UserService, I am sending the email prior l to the Assign Task I haven't noticed any issues.I am still using ES1 though

FYI ...To make this work with pages of different sizes, I will use DDX on the PDF first to get the page width, divide that by 2, and use that as the horizontalOffset. An E sized drawing is 1583 pixels wide at 72DPI.

I am trying to figure out if there is an easier way than my method for testing for the existence of an XML node using XDP JavaScript? The problem of course is that if I look at the value of a node that doesn't exist, it throws an error and the entire calculate script bombs. To date, I have been doing this using try/catch. For example, I have a table in which I want to set the value of a cell based upon information in my XMLusing the calculate event ...var i = this.parent.index; // get the row num...

I tried using the BrowserManager, but since the Flex form is actually loaded inside another Flex application and not the browser, it didn't seem to work for me.My goal is to use the URL to do some internal configuration in the Flex form to respond to DEV, TEST and PROD servers.

One of the "issues" with ES1 is the inability to use tracking to look at task assignments that occur in a subprocess of the main process instance. I read this in the documents. On the Status tab, you can view the names of the multiple users who are part of the task, the date they completed the task by, and their comments on the task. If the task was forwarded to another user, you can view their comments as well.orIf a process that has multiple users receiving tasks in parallel and the tools for r...
