  • We have found that the data only persists in text fields set to rich text format with binding set to normal which lie in flowed subforms. So it's clearly not just to do with the way acrobat/reader handles data in general but it must be something in the xml tags for rich text that's causing reader to...

  • That didn't fix it. :-(Maybe caching isn't the problem. I'ts definitely not just the setting in reader as it does the same in acrobat. Any other ideas? Thanks,Richard

  • Hi Paul,I can't see this setting, even if I have reader open with no file loaded. This may well be the problem though. Obviously I'd rather the solution wasn't making everyone who would use these forms disable caching (especially if I can't find the setting for it!). So is there a way to set the for...

  • Hi Paul,Thanks for the speedy response. Here's some simple instructions that will cause the issue for me.1. Download the form I posted (it is already extended for use in reader).2. Open it in reader and type something in the text field like "hello".3. Close the form and click "Yes" when it asks if yo...

  • Hi Paul,I'm using reader 9. I tried to create a demo form completely from scratch and it worked fine, which leads me to believe it's nothing arising from an old software version. So I made this demo one from (a completely stripped down version of) the template I've been using to make most of my form...

  • Hi Paul,It can be almost any size hence me wanting this functionality rather than just putting it in roughly the right place. Thanks for your efforts but I guess I'll just make the whole lot a big text field with centered text and rely on them not to mess it up. Richard

  • Hi Paul,That is odd that it centers automatically for you. I thought I might have accidentally changed something so redownloaded your version and opened it in reader 9 without touching anything. I still get the same results. It centers in the inside subform (off to the right) when the field expands ...

  • Hi again Paul,Layout -> center horizontally just positions it there, it doesn't do anything to keep it there once it expands or the page is altered. I've set the unnamed subform's width to expand to fit so that the width is that of the text and the text would be truly centered and now the text doesn...

  • Hi Paul,I'm using Acrobat 9 too and mine's still jumping back to the left of the internal subform... It happens if i press add row twice. What did you do to make it center? Do you have any other ideas as this clearly isn't working for me? If I did use javascript what event should it be on so that ev...

  • Hi Paul,It's still not quite there: I'm not sure what you did to make it centre... but it still jumps back to left justification if you press add row (for some reason you have to press it twice). I'm not sure why you need a subform inside the subform containing everything... But it did give me an id...
