Re: URGENT Chat&: Max Monthly Usage Reached in 24hrs on Commercial Account? - Adobe LiveCycle 12-09-2011
Hi Nigel,I guess the point I was confused on is that the server-side script also uses the dev credentials to generate an authToken, but I guess on the server side it creates a unique "session" ID, whereas from the client-side it does not. (Request: PLEASE INCLUDE THIS FACT IN THE NEXT DOCS. This will save someone a lot of time.)It really is a big help to hear that server-side authentication solves that problem.Originally we were going to develop the whole CSR app client-side, and port over relev...

Re: What does RoomManager.noHostTimeout do? - Adobe LiveCycle 31-08-2011
As policy, if it's not in the docs, it means it's not officially supported. I'd steer clear of unsupported features. nigel

Re: Chat& - Detecting User Share Screen Choice for Screen Control Security - Adobe LiveCycle 27-07-2011
Have to make this one foolproof for both enterprise users and consumers, so I need to consider all the angles. Thanks for the feedback Nigel. Owner can shut down the share stream, will look into that thanks. If I can request that there be a way to expose what option the sharer has selected ("Desktop", "Windows", "Applications") in the share screen dialog, even if indirectly, so the feed could be shut down and the user re-prompted again if the "Desktop" option is chosen, that would greatly help im...

Re: Chat& - Touch & Multitouch in Screen Control - Adobe LiveCycle 26-07-2011
@Sasha: not an immedate need, but was just wondering if I built an app for a slate or mobile platform, and tried using screen control in that OS environment, would touch gestures work in a screen control scenario, or is this a mouse&keyboard-only capability for now?@Nigel: thanks for the quick feedback. Now I know we'll have to delay mobile deployment until after the ConnectNow Add-in is updated for touch controls. It's not a big concern right now but it's good to know in case it's on our roadma...

Re: Chat& - Screen Control - Adobe LiveCycle 26-07-2011
Thanks Nigel, found it in the 10.1 SDK docs. Now that I've played with it for a few days, I am happy to see that the screen control allows for cursor sharing just like in Adobe ConnectNow.If I could make a request for the next version of the connect add-in, enable the screen control feature to change the controller cursor to sync up with that of the publisher, so that in a co-browsing situation, the controller knows when they have rolled over a web link in the publisher's screen. Thanks,Joseph Ba...

Re: Screen share updates - Adobe LiveCycle 25-07-2011
I have experienced this bug in Firefox 3.6 on XPSP3, by the way, but it's rare, intermittent and unpredicatble, so I'm not too concerned. As far as the IE bug, I second that. As for a possible solution, I am far from a JavaScript expert, it's really not my field, but maybe there's some JS hack you could employ to block the browser from stealing focus from the Flash Player (thus triggering this bug?) or maybe using one of the WMODE settings to make the Flash Player appear over top of any HTML cont...
