Wow! Thank you very much for taking the time to look at the document.
I'mimpressed at how you were able to discern the problem. You've been of
muchhelp. I'm rather new at form creation. I didn't realize that you
couldcreate static text from scratch in Adobe (I always thought it was
not a texteditor), so went the route of importing a Word document. If I
may ask, you mentioned that you wouldn't have created the form
inDesigner. Is there another software problem or approach that you would
Hello Niall:Thanks. Yes, I am working in Designer to try to reduce the
size of this 17 page form. Most of the fields that I have are text
fields. I went into the objects pallette, but didnt see any embed
related box. Since its a blank form, would it be possible for me to send
it to you at your private email to take a look?
Thanks for your reply re my compression issue. I have LiveCycle ES2 btw.
I have no embedded fonts. I tried to look for the Embed Image Data box

I have an Adobe PDF fillable form form that is 37.8 MB that I created
with LiveCycle Designer ES. When uploaded to the web, the form takes a

One form is 37,616 kb and takes forever to download from the web. I
attempted to zip the file, but when I tested it, text could no longer be
saved after it was unzipped (the forms have extended rights as users
need to be able to enter in a save text they enter into it). Does anyone
have any suggestions re: how I might be able to compress my PDF file,
while still being able to maintain the ability to enable savable text
I've created about 15 fillable forms in LiveCycle ES2 that have extended
rights (as they need to have savable text for users). We want to upload
these forms to our website for users to download, and since the forms
can take a while to open, I thought it best to Zip them. The problem,
however, is that when I tested putting a form in a zip file and unzipped
it, it no longer seems to have the ability to save text any longer. It
is ready strange. In other words, it can be zipped, but not zipped with...
