I'm following up the same configuration recommended here for connecting sites & asset instancehttps://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/experience-manager-65/assets/using/use-assets-across-connected-assets-instances.html this one works on localhost instances but not with stage instances. The connected assets test on sites failing to connect with the DAM server with an error message "couldn't connect to connected assets endpoint."

I know years have passed, but for other people seeing this I will say this. In my experience the system properties have highest precedence for determining runmode. Somewhere above on this page I added a 'full test report' with all my test cases and their results to prove it. So according to my extensive testing the runmode precedence is actually like: system properties (-D) > sling.properties > -r option > JAR filename. So to me your observation is easily explained assuming you were talking about...

Is author instance behind dispatcher? If yes then check dispatcher rules.Try with admin credentials as well to narrow down permission related issues.

Hello All,I have a requirement where my system is accessed by around 1L+ users. However I do not want to create these many users in AEM author. the whole 1 lakh user will fall into hardly 50-60 category of users and I wish to have only these 60 created in AEM.Is it possible to have an integration where the externally authenticated users can user AEM author (users may not directly login to AEM) to upload/modify assets.A similar question was asked here. AEM Authentication to other application auth...

Did you check Page Exporter and created custom config node for assets? The ideal way to expose Assets to third party is using Brand Portal and other similar solutions so that you have one source of truth rather than periodic dumping of assets based on your use case.If you want to go with static agent route, then share the configs as Brijesh mentioned.

Hello Scott, Thanks for the reply.I am aware of using Replication API in workflow and I have been using that. The problem that I am trying to solve is how to take the content from Author to a different path in Publisher. So as mentioned in the link,Replicating a CQ page to two different paths in CQ publisher is a custom Transport handler the only option for this.Regards

Hello All, I have a use case where I am trying to expose various assets (using content fragments) as JSON apis to multiple channels. I am using AEM assets. My AEM assets Publisher will host various end-points ready to be consumed by different channels. My plan is to register various channels with my system and give each channels a token . At the time of registration the scope of access also will be determined(Still figuring out how) My AEM servers and the channels will be in intranet and to me, O...

Hello Team, I am trying to configure a shared datastore for my project. The architecture is as belowHave an aem asset instance (author) which acts as a central repository of assets to multiple aem channels (Each channel has their own author and publisher).I want the asset instance and the aem channels to have a common datastore so that I can rely on binary less replication. Has anyone done any benchmarking on the various data store options that Adobe provides (S3, Azure or NFS). I would like to ...

Hello All,What is the recommeneded way to achieve the below scenarios in a public site (no login) where all content is public by default. My AEM publisher (AEM assets) is basically a repository of contents (content fragments to be precise). There will be multiple channels (a mobile app, another website etc) that will use these contents. I would like to expose/provide only the content intended for specific channels (the content for each channel could be in designated folders). Each channel will ha...

You can setup a separate replication agent for the sites author instance and replicate assets. Refer How to Replicate Using Specific replication Agents. For the second requirement also you can setup a separate replication agent to replicate content fragments and leverage content services to expose the content.

Here Managing Metadata for Digital Assets its mentioned "Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets keeps metadata for every asset. This allows for a easier categorization and organization of assets and it helps people who are looking for a specific asset. With the ability to extract metadata from files uploaded to AEM Assets, metadata management integrates with the creative workflow. With the ability to keep and manage arbitrary metadata with your assets, AEM Assets makes it possible to automaticall...

I think that AEM uses snychronous logging. Although the performance of logging was never that relevant for me (it appeared never as a bottleneck when I profiled AEM), so I basically ignored this question.Cheers,Jörg
