It appears Adobe support recommends the approach @huzaifaha985211 outlined above as well, but practically, how does one achieve the above steps - i.e. how does one decompile the SAML handler and then reintroduce / compile / install the new modified company handler? Can someone provide the required steps to complete those tasks?

Use the Java Sling API and Java class that extends WCMUsePojo. You can use Java API to retrieve information about JCR resources like pages.

I would suggest you make a small modification to the stop.bat file so that it removes the conf/cq.pid even on a successful ERRORLEVEL return code. Then, have your backup script detect the presence of conf/cq.pid (is removed) before starting the backup function using whatever method you are using. Put a timer loop in the backup script detection of the cq.pid file and fail out after some unusual amount of time (say 10-15 minutes) so that if the cq.pid file is never removed you get some message/err...

Thanks for your mail. The below two lines are not giving me node name. In jsp it works, but not in sightly. Can you please share a sample code which has node conversion, page conversion etc.node = currentPage.getContentResource().adaptTo(Node.class); title = node.getName();

As Jitendra already pointed out. You should check the JS errors in console. Also in somecases some component authored in the page might stop the page to be editable. I would suggest you try out editing in geometrixx site just to confirm that it's issue in your code or not. If it works there you might want to create new page using your template and then one by one keep adding components to check which component is breaking the JS. Please remember all these steps have to be done after troubleshoot...

Another option that you have is to create an AEM scheduler service. See: https://sling.apache.org/documentation/bundles/scheduler-service-commons-scheduler.html

Do you have dynamic media enabled on your author instance? If you don't have it enabled you won't see that option. Here are the steps. https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/administer/content/dynamic-media/config-dynamic.html#Enabling Dynamic Media

I figured out the issue. Problem was that the workflow dependency defined in my maven project file did declare a scope, i.e. it used the default maven 'compile' scope. By adding 'provided' scope, as shown below, my service now shows up in process list of "process step". com.adobe.granite com.adobe.granite.workflow.api 1.0.10 provided

Kkkrish wrote... huzaifaha98521146 wrote... in AEM 6.2 the correct way to do what you're trying to do is through "metadata schemas" Here is the doc. https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/author/assets/managing-assets-touch-ui/brandportal/metadata-schemas.html This would allow you to change the default schemas as well as introduce new ones. Even if you tried to do an overlay of image, application etc it won't work. I do not have an answer on why in this particular instance it's not working for y...

Why not create another property for example oldName where you keep the old X value in it. You can hide it by not displaying it to the user and you can still reference to it in your code to pull the old values etc.

The login credentials including hostname for your AEM instance will need to exist in your maven build script.
