For our specific problem, Adobe claims that the fix will be in ES2 SP2.
You should probably talk to Adobe about when that will be released and
whether the fix will also solve your problem. I don't want to give you
any incorrect information.
I have further information on my symptoms. I found that if I first run
the service as "Local System", convert a document, and then restart the
service using my user account (who is in the Administrators group)...
everything works fine. In fact, I can keep restarting the service and
everything will work great. However, as soon as I completely reboot the
server, the problem starts happening again. So, I have to unnacceptable
work-arounds:1. Start LiveCycle using "run.bat" from a command line.
And I should add that the user in question is in the administrator group
(and the original person that started this thread was actually
"administrator"). So, it's not an administrator/non-administrator issue.
When I run it using "run.bat" I'm signed on as the exact same user that
I configured to run the service as (which is the same user that I
installed everything as). When I set the service to run as "Local System
account" with the "Allow service to interact with desktop" it seems to
work (but other things don't work because "Local System account" doesn't
have access to the network shares).
I find that I'm having this problem only when I run the turnkey install
as a service. As soon as I tried running it from the command line
(run.bat -c lc_turnkey -b 0.0.0.0) everything worked fine. I also found
that when I run it as a service using "Local System account" it works
fine. But when running it under a specific domain account, it doesn't
work. Any thoughts?
When creating a new event type, there are two options for "Deactivate
Event":- Upon Notification- NeverThe only documentation on these in the
help reads: "Depending on whether you want the event type to be
deactivated when its listeners have acknowledged receipt of the event,
select either Upon Notification or Never. For example, you might select
Never if a service is handling the notification and any deactivation of
the event type." I think I've read that about 42 times and still don't
