Invalid XML: ... encoding specified in XML declaration is incorrect - Adobe LiveCycle 14-12-2010
Hi,I need to import a XML file into a PDF. This works as long as the encoding of the XML file is UTF-8. However, the files I need to import have an encoding UTF-16. When trying to import I get an error:Invalid XML: Xml parsing error: encoding specified in XML declaration is incorrect (error code 19)It is almost impossible to have the xml-file changed, so is there a way to import a UTF-16 encoded file? Thanks in advance!Erik

There will also be an external XML file in the same folder containing data. The user is going to open the pdf. Once opened, the external XML-file with data needs to be imported. This will be done by a button on the form, that opens a 'browse'-screen.As the user does not kno...

Re: Installation of Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES2 - Adobe LiveCycle 17-02-2012
I am a contractor working with a national agency. I don't have rights to set up any sort of server on my PC at work, which runs Windows XP Professional -- NOT Windows Server as Adobe's tech specs indicate. At home, I use Windows 7 Professional. Most of the PDF forms I set up only require users to type text in text fields, click check boxes, or decide "yes" or "no" in radio buttons. For those simple forms, have found that Acrobat Pro's "Enable Reader Features" allows users to fill out the form in...

Re: Import XML data into PDF opened in Reader - Adobe LiveCycle 30-09-2010
Hi Erik,You are right, you do not apply Reader enable the form in LC Designer ES. This is only used to develop the form. The form is also not Reader enabled in Reader. Reader is only a viewer. There are two routes to Reader enable a form:Using Acrobat 9 Standard or above (or Acrobat 8 Professional or above). This has licensing restrictions though, to less than 500 data processes per form. See the EULA. LC Reader Extensions ES2 is a server product and is intended for large volumes of data process...

Re: Show/Hide subforms like a popup - Adobe LiveCycle 23-01-2009
if (formAddress.presence == "visible") {formAddress.presence = "hidden";}else {formAddress.presence = "visible"}That will toggle between showing and hiding if you put it in the click event of a button and change "formAddress to" the address of the form you want to hide/show.Regards,TomP.S. If they aren't moving up/down then they are not set to flowed.
