Hi all,I'm currently working on a project where the end goal is to have the web pages load faster. We're trying to figure out what is the best solution within AEM, without having to utilise outside solutions (Angular, React, headless CMS, etc). They're (technical team) is looking to move away from repetitious authoring as well. In addition, the overall architecture needs to overhauled...currently, they're using two different trees to serve up either static or dynamic content.Thoughts? Solutions?

I was looking to possibly taking the AEM Business Practitioner certification exam again, but noticed that now it's for AEM Mobile.Does this mean that the exam has changed in scope? Also, does anyone know if they'll be providing a certification exam for Authors/Business Analysts, or is the BP exam considered to be for AEM functional folks like myself?

I'm working on something similar (but for Classic UI) for one of our CTA components.I think that it would be a nice feature to have for current and future Authors.

*Edited the title per the confirmation that 5.6.1 was the last version of CQ I’ve been tasked with providing a high-level overview of the risks, timing, and benefits of migrating from 5.X to 6.2.I did get a good chunk of information from this article (thank you to whoever wrote this!):https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/deploy/upgrade.html However, if anyone else has any tips/suggestions/advice that goes beyond the scope of this article, I would greatly appreciate it! He put in a ticket to have them look into it, but I'm betting it's because of the chain replication/custom workflow.I'll keep you posted.

Hi all,One of my QA testers has advised me that whenever they go to publish a page through workflow ("accelerated" workflow that the Dev team built for this project), it will create duplicate versions of the page. I confirmed this by seeing two versions that are time stamped with the exact time, but with different version numbers (re: 1.60 and 1.61, but with the same timestamp). It's also worth noting that they've created a "Create a Version" for authoring/testing purposes.I've never encountered...

I just read the article...pretty exciting stuff!I love the new Content Tree feature, that'll be great for authors to quickly find components to edit them (rather than try to find them on the page, especially if they're hidden). Also, did anyone catch the announcement that Adobe is doing away with Classic UI in April 2019?

A couple of points from a long-time author:1) I'm aligned with what Scott and Jorg said about using components versus adding HTML (which defeats the purpose of using a CMS). Using the components will allow your authors to be able to author content much faster.2) In regards to creating components, I would sit down with your Functional team to assess how many components that you will need, and whether or not you can consolidate a lot of the functions that you need into a couple. I'm in the camp of...

Is it possible to remove the out of the box components if we're not going to use them? Would removing them impact AEM in anyway (in a negative sense)?

Yes, I'm one of the Admins (and I'm on the Admin account). There's more to the error code, but that's pretty much it.I'll have my SD take a look at the permissions. I also wonder if it's a case of deleting the anonymous account...I say that, because in 6.1, I wasn't able to delete it for some reason. Just a thought.

I've had this same issue as well (although we currently only have a sandbox environment).I had to remove the user(s) from the groups, one by one, until their rights were restored, but that doesn't really solve the issue.

Would it make sense to only show the components that are compatible for each template? What about a basic template (default, can be used on any page)?I would prefer to limit the number of components shown, so that authors can quickly locate the desired component. How do you go about doing this?

Asking for a friend that has received a taste for doing graphic design at his last gig, and now wants to delve into that world headfirst.I'm also asking here because he wants to work with Adobe products, and naturally, I'd like for him to join us in the AEM community.Anyways, his skillset/experience is pretty limited, but he's eager to learn. Can anyone recommend where he should get started? Preferably something online.

Hey all,We just had the Sandbox stood up, and I was able to at least add myself (BSA) and my PM as users before I got the dreaded "Authentication Failed" error message. After reading through some of the posts here, could it be because we don't have enough server space for this? I don't know what server it's on, nor do I know what the live environments will be on (we're still sorting that out, this is very preliminary).

Is this an indexed page? I'm assuming that they wouldn't need to login. (I'm asking because we had this same issue at my last job, and I anticipate it being an issue at my new gig) Also, we're going to have worfkflows for the "Content Approvers" to approve the authors' work (for legal/compliance reasons).

Has this been solved in 6.2? I worked on a project that we weren't able to author in Touch UI for 6.0 (they said that it wouldn't work, but didn't specify as to why). Personally, if I'm working on a lot of pages/sites, I prefer to author in Classic. That being said, I'm really digging 6.2 so far.

Is this assuming that the author implemented the content in Template A to begin with? Why would the author switch templates? (I can't recall having to switch templates without deleting the page and starting all over again)
