For overriding the page URL try the s.pageURL = "https://example.com"; method. See here for more info https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/analytics/implementation/vars/page-vars/pageurl.html

Just a follow up to this. I worked with the Adobe Managed Services team on this and after a few unsuccessful rounds attempting to rebuild the indexes using the tool mentioned at:https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/experience-manager-learn/foundation/administration/use-oak-run-jar-to-manage-indexes.html#index-consistency-check the issue was eventually resolved by the AMS team by copying the working index from publisher 2 to the publisher 1 instance.

This is absolutely fine to make changes in existing tabs inside proxy components. Never make changes directly in core components dialogs.

I know it is overkill, but when a document we have to use on the daily will not let you edit it unless you use the same system that was used when creating it, it is pretty much our only option. We have Adobe Sign, but unfortunately the document does not work as an attachment.

there are two option either you create language copies for translations project then its useful to send out a package to translation agencies. This will create translation project per language for selected pages. It will give you option to export the package for human translation to send to agencies, once you receive it back, after importing it will put the translations back to created language copies removing the effort to cut and paste translations manually. if its an update to existing one i....

Write a Sling or JCR event listener for the events you are looking to capture. The listener class will be called every time the relevant events are fired. Within the class you can write the events to some node and keep pinging the node from your standalone java app at regular intervals to see the captured events. Or else you can call a servlet hosted in your standalone app from the event listener every time the event occurs.

It goes along with the best practice regarding permissions: By default you should deny everything, and use groups to add more permissions. Because in the end the evaluation order matters. If you have allow and deny rules mixed, all of the sudden the order of the groups is important. And these are issues which are hard to debug and even harder to solve.

Regarding upgrades, theoretically, this should be handled by the regression testing built into Cloud Manager. Essentially it will build a copy of the App + AEM Feature Model and run regression tests against that, but frankly I'm concerned as well as IMO the issues you find in upgrades usually aren't discoverable via compilation or testing. This is one of the questions I posed to Cedric Huesler on Twitter: https://twitter.com/KlcoDanR/status/1217063177810214912

Plan on using Content Fragments for disclaimers on our financial site. Probably end up using Content Fragments instead of XF since we won't need styling. Variations will help tailor the disclaimers depending on content and audience, and still provide one spot for legal to make updates if needed that will update the entire site.

Will the blog posts be composed on author instance by content authors? If yes, then sure you can use CF. You can create a CF model with whatever fields you require (e.g. title, body, etc.)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Hn3UDJMc98 - tutorial on CF models.Better idea maybe to just create a component / template with the required layout and dialog fields to compose the blog posts. Then just create a new page using that template whenever you want a new blog post. This is assuming you want an approach...

When you run the groovy script, It will list the paths that have been corrupted. You can then delete those paths using the groovy script and create a package of these nodes from other instances.

DTM to Adobe Launch deprecated code

I'm aware there's a Launch Switch Self assessment tool available which provides a list of changes to be made for DTM rules / elements after migration to Launch. But some of the clients may not be comfortable uploading their embed code in a third party site for doing this analysis. Is there any other way to come up with the list of changes / deprecations required in a websites current DTM implementation post migration to launch? Is there any documentation or site with such a list? Thanks.

Thanks. In Chapter 2 it talks about being able to add more text components as required on the AEM Page - I guess this addition will also get reflected in the angular view?Any idea how that works? For adding an angular component into another, you have to add the selector tag for the child component into the parent one. What happens when you add AEM components into a page, does it somehow add the corresponding angular selector to the parent angular component? If so, are the angular component markup...

Hi,I think the problem is with the DOM here.In edit mode your components actual DOM is loaded inside iframe and the component editable div loaded top of that, since this editable div and z-index higher so you can't interact with actual Dom in Edit mode.E.g. Tab components, you must have to switch from edit to preview in order to edit another tab.How to add parsys to Touch UI Tab Component

AEM offers clear and simple logic controlling the decoration tags that wrap included components. Whether and how the decoration tag is rendered is defined by the combination of two factors, which this page will dive into:The component themselves can configure their decoration tag with a set of properties. The scripts that include components (HTL, JSP, dispatcher, etc) can define the aspects of the decoration tag with include parameters.See Decoration Tag
