Re: Allowing field entry for either numbers only or a specific phrase - Adobe LiveCycle 02-10-2017
The change below almost works perfectly. However, since this field is a drop-down, I need it to also allow pressing the down arrow and the enter key to select the "Not Available" option if they don't want to use the mouse. Anyone have the syntax for that?if (this.rawValue.match(/\s+Not Available\s+/g)){} else if (xfa.event.newText.match(/[^0-9]/)){xfa.event.change = "";}

No, if you submit the form, all attachments are included.If you want to avoid large mails you should send send the data (XML) only.

Re: Sorting XML data linked to a drop-down list - Adobe LiveCycle 07-04-2015
Hi there,Good method to sort XML with XSLT! As I would have suggested you to have a second dropdownlist to be the displayed data view,If you rather use another method than XSLT, you could try retrieving each data inside the dropdownlist and create an Array out of it.With the array you can use the method sort(); and once sorted out, you only need to insert them in the displayed dropdownlist data view.Hope you will manage to make this work!

Re: converting validation pattern to script syntax and running check - Adobe LiveCycle 12-12-2014
Hi Dave,If you have a validation pattern of AAA9999-A then the I expect you are wanting the user to type in something like ABC1234A (that is without the hyphen), if you set the display pattern to the same then the hyphen will be added in for them. If this is the case then the rawValue and the formattedValue will only be different when the value is invalid. So you could try the following JavaScript in the exit event. if (TextField1.rawValue === TextField1.formattedValue){ //xfa.host.resetData(thi...

Re: Checkbox check style issue - Adobe LiveCycle 23-01-2014
Radzmar. Thanks. That's what I ended up doing. Copying a previous check box that worked in the same form and then changing the name, etc was what I ended up doing. The styles were fine working with a new form, but for some reason it gave me problems adding a checkbox to a pre-existing form. ???

Re: Script to set presence of a subform based on a field's value not working - Adobe LiveCycle 20-12-2012
Try commenting out failCheck.boxView() on the scoreVal calculate event andadd it to the DebitVal calculate event.DebitVal::calculate - (JavaScript, client)failCheck.boxView();That should work but will make the type field protected.

Re: My table cell won't break when handling large amount of text- Ideas? - Adobe LiveCycle 21-06-2011
I can get this to break without special script by scrapping the table format and arranging subforms and textfields to look like a table.Please see my example:http://www.box.net/shared/xmpuis4neafuf6cfd1smHowever, because of some other formatting issues that arise when I scrap the table format, I'm trying to avoid using this approach.Thanks,Dave

Re: Adjust Drop Down List size - Adobe LiveCycle 22-06-2011
I tried the popup menu, it is working but there is another problem...Because there are some chinese characters in the item list, and I guess the default font type of the popup menu cannot show these characters...Is there any method to change the popup menu font type / style?Also I tried to change the font of textfield, and it does not affect the popup menu...>

Re: Presence of subform depends on number of pages - Adobe LiveCycle 23-03-2010
Hi Dave,If you take the total field off the design view and put it onto the first master page, then it will only appear on the first page. Provided you have set subsequent pages to be based on the second master page.Note you will need to resolve the nodes in the script on order for the total field to talk from the master page.Niall
