It is trying to execute the code in "change" event as soon as you type in first character. For better understanding if you want to type in "Abc" in the dropdown field it is treated as 3 change events first one triggered as soon as you type in "A".So best way to deal with this is move the code in change to "exit" event. And see if that resolve the issue.

I've had no response to this question and found a similar post from Dec 2005 http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bbdc19d/1 that also did not have a solution. Does anyone know if/how I can have the filebrowser open in a specified folder?

Can someone help with parsing return WSDL data? My return WSDL data is a concatenated string of alias names (firstname middlename lastname generation) delininated with an "@":7433|ALIAS|John|W|Smith| @7432|ALIAS|Johnny| |Smith| @7430|ALIAS|JJ| |Smithers| @7431|ALIAS|JJ| |Smith| @7400|ALIAS|Jon| |Smith| @7416|ALIAS|John|Wilber|Smith|JRI must have these names appear on my forms in a "lastname, firstname middlename generation" format. Can anyone provide expertise in this area if I provide the table...

After changing two javascript "else if" statements to "if" in an Adobe LiveCycle v8 form, I received errors upon saving. Now the file seems to be corrupt because when I attempt to open it I get an error stating "File does not begin with '". Does anyone know what could be causing this AND MORE IMPORTANTLY if there is a way to salvage my form? Please help!

Have you tried trimming your test string to the number of characters in the RegExp?// Show correct FLU Agent according to Client Last Name var FLU1 = /^([A-G][a-z])$/; var FLU2 = /^([H-O][a-z]|P[a-e])$/;var FLU3 = /^(P[f-z]|[Q-Z][a-z])$/; if (HasValue(xfa.resolveNode("form1.dbObjects.clientLastName") {var NameString = xfa.resolveNode("form1.dbObjects.clientLastName").rawValue.substring(0,2);switch (true) { case (FLU1.test(NameString) 😞this.rawValue = "Carol"; break;case (FLU2.test(NameString) ...

It is had to say with out looking at actual code, issue may be related to the code in any/combination of the following events....'initialize', 'layout:ready' and those events could be of parent subform, actual subform, add instance, or actual field. I can take a look if you could email the template at 'meetsekharv AT yahoo.com'
