I'm trying create a process to automatically create Rights Manager policies for specific users. It seems the only way to do this is use a create a policy from an existing policy and within that activity set the user for whom I want the policy to apply ( e.g. only they can open the document ).All going fine - except the variable to define the user ( or users ) is an IUserlist type ( com.adobe.livecycle.userlist.IUserlist ) for which I can't find any documentation regarding it's input parameters.I...

Hi AllThank you all for your very quick responces - sorry I've been off on another project for the past week.Unfortunatly my ES skills are not up to any of the suggested solutions - and anyway what I want is a way for the HR Dept to 'reclaim' the task form thier Workspace - without them having access to the AdminUI or needing to know the Task / Process number etc - they are admin staff not IT geeks 😉I realised that I asked this question in a different way last Dec (must be my month for tricky p...

Recall a Form
Avatar

We have a number of processes where it would be ideal if a user could recall a submitted form from the recipient before they open it.One example is is a sickness reporting process where a 'return to work' form is sent by the HR dept to the sick person to complete on their return to work. The HR dept then received some new information regarding the persons sickness that needs to be added to or amended on the form before they return (medical certificate, change to expected duration, change of sick...

Hi JasminNo - from Howard's reply #6/17 "Are you running Service Pack 1b. I'm pretty sure this was a bug that was fixed at some point. The bug still exists if the task is assigned to a group." I assumed that it was already logged.Best Regards - Stuart

Hi HowardThat link to Rendezvous does not work (or on your web site off ES components list either) but I think looked at this and decided it was not what we need. What the customer wants' is the ability for multiple users to concurrently Annotate a Flat version of a form, then for all the annotation to be combined into one 'master review document'.The ideal answer would be to start a Shared Review form within LC ES process but I don't think that is possible...Anyway the other side of this is that...

Assign Task to Multiple Users

If anyone is in the mood for a challenge I've got doozie...I'd like to assign a task to multiple users simultaneously, then gather all the tasks back to one user - probably the process initiator.Problem is that I don't know how many users the task will be assigned to - that is a decision taken by the task initiator before they submit the initial form by building a list of recipients on the form.I can't assign the task to a 'Group' as then it can only be Claimed by one user at a time. The key issu...

Hi JohnA) Your symptons are exactly the same as mine - eg. process generated eMails worked but system generated ones (notifications) did not.B) When I came across this issue it was on a customer 'Live' system so I did not have time to try to fix it on site and had to regress them back to base 8.0.1 (QUICKLY ;o). Eventually we did the SP2 upgrade for them by copying in the deployment from a sucessfully upgraded system. So I never did find a way to fix it.C) However I have since upgraded 4 other E...

I have a similar problem - or I think it is.I would like the users to be able to Add a Note when they Forward a Task - e.g. not complete it.Scenario is that a user receives a task that is for someone else and wants to Forward the task to them with a note as to why they are forwarding it to them.If the open the form and add a note then 'submit' it then the task thinks it has moved to the next 'phase'.So is there any way to add a note to a Forwarded task without opening or submitting it ?It seems ...

Girish very kindly send me a process that pokes the Deadline Date directly into the ES MySQL table - which does update the Deadline date as show for the task - however A) The Deadline never fires and B ) I know poking data into the ES ...

Hi flexairThank you for the advice but I still could not get Flex Builder 3 to compile my .swf correctly - I'm new to Flex Builder so it is probably entirely my fault. However I found a download of the original Flex SDK 2 Hotfix 2 (which to lc-customisation instructions refer to) so I De-installed Flex Builder 3, installed Flex 2 Hotfix 2, and used the Flex 2 command line to compile the new workspace-theme.swf file. This then worked correctly when re-built into my customworkspace-client.ear file.I...

In the course of building a simplified process to send to otsupport I have discovered why SP2 breaks our process xml data mapping in our processes. Most of our processes use 2 form variables (one to start the process then one, or more, dependent on the initial forms content) that run through the rest of the process - e.g. we use different templates in the process for different originator/request types etc, but capture the initial data from a number of single templates to simplify the 'user experi...
